Ultra Hal 7.0 / I would like in the new HAL version

I would like in the new HAL version, if at all possible, more commands to manipulate tables whilst programming HAL. It would be helpful to be able to use more SQLITE commands, such as being able to get information about data stored in tables, like how many rows are used and such like. Also it would be good to be able to add more columns and have commands to access an individual column. With SQLITE all this is possible but when it comes to HAL it is very rigid and limited. I don't see the point of using such an advanced database and taking away most of the advantages of it.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / HAL HELP

Here a zip file which I have compiled using a small program called ' HELPIT '. I've zipped them all up. So all that is needed to be done is to unzip them to where ever you want and inside each folder is an index.html page, just double click it to open it.

I forgot to mention what theses are. They are help files that show how to use each function in scripting for HAL. So if anyone is interested in writing plugins and don't know how to use the functions for controlling tables or manipulating responses and such can find out how to write each function in a script.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Skin Editing?

Is there a way of editing the 'windows default' skin (the one that displays like a standard microsoft window?
eg. change positions of output/input/animated character, background and font colours and font type, as you can with other skins.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Plugin for lightspeed

Here's a very simple plugin to give the impression that HAL has memories. I wrote it for lightspeed to help him with his endeavour to make HAL appear to remember past events.

just say 'do you remember'/'do you recall'/'do you have memories of'/'do you recollect' and then add what you want HAL to remember.
Example: 'Do you remember climbing trees as a kid?'
I hope to develop this plugin further and allow the user to talk more about the memories but that's for another time when I've finished other projects.
lightspeed I hope this makes it easier than editing HAL's tables.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Knowledge of time plugin

Here is a plugin I call 'Knowledge Of Time'. It gives HAL the ability to know different aspects of time.

1. Ask HAL'how many seconds/minutes/hours/days/weeks/years/decades/centuries/ are in a minute/hour/day/week/year/decade/century/millennium'

2. Ask HAL'How long is left of today'

3. Ask HAL'was/is the year (example 2012) a leap year'

4. Ask HAL'what season is it' or 'is it winter/spring/summer/autumn(fall)'

5. ask HAL'Is it am/pm"

6. Ask HAL'What month is it"

7. Ask HAL'What are the months of the year'

8. Ask HAL'What month follows/proceeds (a specified month: eg. January, february, etc.)'

9. Ask HAL'When is the solstice/equinox'

10. Ask HAL'When is christmas/new years'

11. Ask HAL'How manys days until Christmas/new years'

12. Ask HAL'What are the days of week'

13. Ask HAL'What day follows/proceeds (a spcified day: eg. Monday, Tuesday, etc.)'

14. Ask HAL'How many days until (date specified: d/m/y or m/d/y)'

I can't think of anymore things that this plugin can do because I've forgotten. So I will allow you to discover anything I haven't mentioned.
You must choose and apply the drop down menus in the GENERAL OPTIONS of this plugin for it to work correctly.
State whether you are in the northern/southern hermisphere and state which format of date you use mm/dd/yy/ or dd/mm/yy.
I will class this plugin as a BETA release for you to test. Please tell me if you do come across any errors and I will rectify them. Thanks and enjoy.

Is it possible to change a numeral into a string variable. For example can you change '1' into the word 'one'.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / How do I?

How do I stop HAL from adding it's own input into my responses that I've scripted?
example:
If I wanted HAL to say just "The time is 12pm" with out HAL adding something like "Quick answers won't work. The time is 12pm". How would I go about stopping HAL adding to my scripted sentences?

I updated my plugin to version 2.2, there was a problem with it interfering with HAL's responses. That has been sorted out and the plugin works fine now. I hope ... hahaha.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Problems with 6.1 and Vista

I've just upgraded to Vista Enterprise edition and when I start HAL it suppose to go into my quick start menu until I click on it. It doesn't, it starts by itself and recites the following:

What day comes before on 23 May 2007. It's 1 week away. What day comes before on 18 May 2007. It's only 2 days away. What day comes after on 17 May 2007. It's tomorrow. What day proceeds on 23 May 2007. It's 1 week away.

Then HAL refuses to answer anything after that. I am using HAL 6.1 which should be compatible. I have  put it into administration mode and it made no difference, then I tried putting it into XP compatible mode without any joy. Can anyone help me with this problem as I am not going to revert back to XP on the account of HAL not working properly when I was assured it should.

Here is a plugin that allows HAL to tell you things about your zodiac sign. For example say something like "Tell me about Gemini" or "What is the positive side of Cancer" and there's lots of other information that HAL could tell you. Ask HAL what it's star sign is or even ask HAL to tell you yours.
All information was collected from the WEB, so if you don't agree with it don't blame me because I'm not an astrologer.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / A plugin

Here is a plugin to give Hal the ability to count up to or down from a specified number. It also allows HAL to recite the alphabet. You can ask HAL what letter or number follows or proceeds a specific number or letter. Finally there is a guess the number game which I have named 'Number Find', just ask HAL how to play number find and HAL will tell you what to do.
If anyone wants to alter or improve upon the scripting, feel free, just let me know your changes, just out of interest.
