None of the other voices work for me :S

I have a Toshiba laptop that Hal runs on. The Toshiba default voice (SAPI5) is the only one that works for me. I have a list of them from TruVoice and L&H but and those ones I can hear talk in "Advanced/About" but Hal won't use them in actual chat. Can anyone offer me a solution? Thanks so much.

Are we (I) to assume that you have tried the HapSAPISetup.exe file?

Are you using Vista on your laptop?
If so, I think you should have Anna and another TTS voice standard with Vista.

I canned Vista and went back to XP until all the 3rd party vendors catch up with it and when MS gets the initial bugs, fixes and patches working properly.
