does new hard drive mean new activation
« on: June 11, 2007, 09:05:31 am »
Hi
I think i saw somewhere in the older posts that Hal assistant
uses the hard drive number as part of its security for activation.
I moved it onto my laptop from PC so had to de activate it
and get another code but as these programs take up so much room
i have now bought a bigger laptop hard drive.
Before fitting the new drive will i have to de activate Hal again for the code so i can get yet another activation code for the new installation on the new drive or will the one i have still work.
Thanks

When you deactivate HAL, the code that you original received when you purchased it will reactivate it when you have installed HAL on your new HD.
