Hals languages
« on: February 25, 2009, 06:26:13 am »
The other day I mention 2 languages LISP and Prolog which would aid Hal in many ways. There was a comment that both languages were vogue in the 1960 an70's.How nice ,but lets get up to speed on those 2 languages as of now..I have a e-mail based on using these 2 languages to aid in another way for a program which only cost 100,000 dollars ,so it looks like these to languages are still very real an alive.

VistaBoy,

I used both of those languages back in the late 70's early 80's.  Though the were devloped for AI it would be very difficult to interface them with Hal.  Both languages support self modifying code.  Most of Hal's main code is compiled and part of it is interpative, none of it is capible of self modification thus allows user plugins.  You might want to printout some *.uhp files and study them if you want to write some plugins.[8D]
