future pronounciation voice program
« on: November 14, 2007, 10:38:57 am »
i had another idea that i think would be cool if it could ever be done in a program it would take our voice by voice recognition and sound out the voice in spelling and programing that would create a distinct  pronounciation of a word for instance i say "yeah right" but drag out the yeah on purpose the effect would then come out with yeahhhhh right !! like a slang sound but would spell it out or say it out sounding  correctly . just an idea i thought about . as it is now i can do some words that way if i write them out and practice letting it say it on cyberbuddy to see if it's pronouncing it the way i want it to sound . but then you have to take the time to copy and past or remember how to write it correctly . There are already some emotional TTS voices available.
Some laugh, yawn, cry and emote with feeling.
Doc Benway (a former member here) posted a link somewhere
but I'd bet it was in the Voices section (imagine that!).
I believe the voice was named Simon. Do a search at the top
right for Simon in the Voices folder.

I don't know about the yeahhhh right thing but it certainly
is (Simon's voice) a step toward realism.

If I happen to run across it before you do, I'll post the link for you.
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!
