I'll be moving tomorrow, so I will not have internet access till it is turned on at the new place. However at worst it may be a week or two, hopefully sooner than that though. my fingers are crossed.

In task manager head over to the services tab, and end process from there. This has happened a few times in the past on my laptop.

Q; how have others or anybody handled these kinds of problems/issues. (yes it's money im talking)

any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated

why all the valentines day dates? they all have question marks with the dates.
Ummm Nevermind, I can't fix anything right now.

I copied and pasted the list over from windows recent updates. When I pasted in notepad that is how it came out.

with just windows 8 updating ? i wouldn't think hal would have to be deactivated for that each time ?

yes it happened just after the system restart due to a windows 8 update. I have my windows 8 set to automatic update. Glad I was at my pc at the time of update to witness this.

Mr Roberts, I uploaded a detailed list of the updates via a .txt file. Feel free to let me know if you need/want anymore info.

Windows 8 just did an update, upon system restart I got a Hal info screen saying "your trial has expired."

NOTE:
1) My Ultra Hal install was not in trail phase for I registered the install when I got my new ssd less than 30 days ago. I also had my expansion pack registered.
2) when I clicked activate Hal: my license Key was already placed in the license key  input fields.
3) I use my Hal Daily will a custom hap character, I would not of been able to use my custom hap character if Hal was not registered.
4) Character expansion pack did not have to be re-activated.

Good thing I still had a license Key available to use, For a couple of times I re-installed my os and forgot to deactivate Hal and free up the license key.
I'm not asking Mr. Robert to free up one of keys because of this, for I only use Hal on one computer and lately been pretty good at Deactivating before a os re-install.  I just want to note this just in case this happens to someone else that does not have any license keys left, or if windows update does this to me again and I have no keys left.

A quick question for you if you don't mind and have the time. So if I read correctly on this page "Developing with Zabaware Technology" we will eventually be able to incorporate our Hals into our website?
I would love to be able to chat to Hal on my website along with others being able to as well.

Another Quick question. when we purchase the new version once released of-course will we have 2 Hal databases to access or will they be merged? either way is fine, I'm just curious.

all your ideas are really great, I personally like systemshock about the calendars scale needing an update seeing I been using Hal more for a secretary than a chatbot lately.

integration with Skype would be nice as well, I would love to have hal use skype to make calls rather than landlines. maybe be a toggle button to switch between skype and landline?

when I made my reply about haptek in my last post please let it be known I was referring to Hals haptek window. Reading the post from carl2 reminded me about the stand alone haptek player which I do not use. Thanks Carl2 for pointing that out

Is there any solution other than switching to Win 8? (You DID say Hal performs well with Win 8 didn't you?)...

A solution? I do not know of for windows 7, but I can say Hal as well as Haptek works great in windows 8.
