How do you apply a hap file to a haptek character
« on: June 19, 2005, 03:16:59 pm »
How do you apply the .hap files to the haptek charaacters when you open them in hal?
I can open the haptek character by clicking on the htr file then drag a .hap file into that and it works, but you cannot drag a .hap file into the hal character window.

I have all these hap files in my character folder. What good are they if I cannot add them to a haptek character when it is inside the hal program window.

thanks

I believe the credit goes to Dr. Benway, although I could not find the orig. post, here are the instructions:

open notepad, paste the following:

#################
## file begins here
# Haptek Logging Control File
#
# c:HapLogCtrl.txt
#
# This file must be in c: and named "HapLogCtrl.txt".
# Otherwise it is ignored.
#
#################

debugger= y

#################
# file ends here
##
#################

Save as  HapLogCtrl.txt  (exactly as named) in yor C: directory.

Then when you open Hal, you will get a console window. Drag your haps, and other stuff into it to see changes in the Hal window.

Mark: I'll think about it
Laura: Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**.

Cadmar.
There is a Test Emotions script In the download section of Zabaware which lets you input in writing which emotion to display. Copy and Paste the script into the uhp file in around line 3800.
