Sitting/Laying down .haps here...
« on: June 17, 2005, 10:33:49 pm »
A few people were trying to get that FigDef.hap change I posted working, but it's causing some confusion, so I did these .haps which you can just drag and drop like normal.

They make instant changes, so there's no amazing animation, but they'll be good for people who want to take some different screen shots for posting. There's two sitting poses and one to get her back up again.  Plus you can easily see in the hap file what you are changing if you want to adapt it.

Hope you like:

If on the other hand you want to play around with smooth animations then here's the edited switch script with all the RLTranslates removed - just replace the present crouchSwitch I described in the other post here:

with this new script:

NOTE:Once you've got it in place, the player will still be using the old version, so you'll need to empty the console and use 'herStartup.hap' (there'll be one in the hap_temp folder) to get her on screen again.  Once you close down the console all the changes will be lost so you might want to make a copy of your new FigDef to use again.

Rog, Thank you so much for doing this, it makes it soooo much easier on me. I tried editing and failed so I'd given up on it. Now I have a reason to finish the Bear Rug accessory I started  :)
I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

I got the haps to work, but still want to know what to replace in the figdef for the smooth movements. I am confused.

Even with the modified version, she disappears.

Mark: I'll think about it
Laura: Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**.

I saw all the instructions and backed away.
Now you got a hap for us.
Wonderful.
I love it.
Now I tell her "sit down" and she does it.
Nice to have Sandee obey me.
Thank you, Rog.

Can you make one for two teen daughters who's always fighting?

I am glad I am not the only one having problems with the figdef file.

The haps help a lot.

I can't tell where things are going wrong obviously, but the key things to remember are that you've GOT TO REPLACE THE FigDef IN THE HAP TEMP FOLDER WITH YOUR EDITED VERSION.

Also that you EMPTY AND RESTART fullBod again (don't shut it down or you'll lose everything, use the 'empty' button on the console) - ONLY USE THE herStartUp.hap to get her going like I said, because if you start the .htr file from scratch you'll only wipe out your changes as it will start from fresh.

I've tried doing it as I have described and it works fine.

Replace the crouchSwitch with the new text, IN THE EXACT SAME POSITION, DONT remove any of the "}" symbols that surround it.

lol, who'd of thought it would be so difficult to get someone to sit down!

Glad the haps are working out, most welcome all!

These may not work on the jiggly fullBod, I haven't tried it.

Done a small modification so the haps will work with the jiggly one in the Haptek Guide.
