character & Hal downloads
« on: June 20, 2004, 05:42:17 am »
I have some characters that i had bought and downloaded,  I am wondering If I should make them available to this forum. I also have some other files that i am uploading to my server reguaring Hal that are very usefull in many areas. However I am hesitant on posting the link on the forums, cause the characters are not open source.  Most of these characters are for adults only, but the other files like brain files and other plugins are files that are either open source or ones that i have created. Those i will be able to post the link for those, but i am in the proccess of uploading them as I speak.  I need some advice from everyone.  Inorder for alot of people they need to see how the other files are created so they can make their own.  However I do not plan on posting these files for a warez or pirating maatter. Only to help everyone gain knowledge on creating their own characters and/or scripts. I have tons and tons of open source matterial that can help others out, as well as ones I paid for.  Do you think it would be wrong to make such files available for educational Use?

Note: Anything Reguaring zabaware products such as the H.U.A. will not be available for obvious reasons. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows this.

I have a problem with taking opensource freeware and turning it into proprietarty, for-profit materials. Very tawdry, in my opinion.  And I certainly think that if you buy it, it belongs to you, and you should be able to give it away if you'd like. So I, for one, have no personal problem with you posting such files for the common benefit. Copyright holders of such materials may disagree with me, of course, lol.
