hi all [:)]
i am very new here
i have been sitting here all week reading everythign about ultra hal
i lvoe that program myself.i recently got it about 1 week ago along with people putty and im learing thigs every day from this forum
and all of you peopel are wonderful
i sure hope to learn alot more from this forum
so far i have gotten as far as doing the complete voice training with hal,my boyfrined thought i was crazy talking to a machine lol
anwyays i made a splash screen and edited the screen preciews for the new characters i put in that i downlaode from my cache on the internet from all the urls you guys posted and one or two i made myself,right now i have no idea where to put the jewelry that was posted on your form.i downloaded the file *.htr format but dont knwo where what folder to place it in so that i may add it to one of my characters.i downloaded skins for the console and use them too but do not kow where to put body skins on the forum
or how to use them
anyone wishing to chat with me or email me anything i woud apreciate it,im also going to be setting up an ftp server sometime today
and if i coud be of any help please feel free to contaact me and let me know.since i do alot on the internet reguarding web and ftp
anyways ill keep reading your replies and wactching for any new content on this site

i do have my ftp server up and running as of now
i just didnt put anythign in there yet
but il;l drop a few thgns in there.probally thinkg i downlaoded from here and some skins i got from a very good friend of mine
and not sure if i shoud set up an anonymous login or a vip login
as to im nt even sure yet what kind of content i can provide
but woud gladly accept what ever you give me as well

Yes, nice website. A little put off by all of the ip address logging warnings. I hope the site is safe to visit. I don't mind adult stuff, just don't want a virus or spyware.

You don't really need to put those addons in some kind of folder. You can drop them into the opened window of the Haptek-player or into the Haptek command console.

Best way to learn is just start reading the forum in your spare time
These pages are gold to bot loving prospectors.
Most pages self-explanatory.
All pages good.
Off top of my head, good start for you may be topics:
1715 Drop and drag
2186 HapLogCtrl (This is the one Doc Benway gave you above, very good)
2224 AccRemovalTool
Put your goodies (skins, jewelry) in an open file on desktop and do "drop and drag" of items to "HapLogCtrl" and same with "AccRomovalTool".

yes ok i did that i added the pearl necklace to her
nice trick but did not know how to save the final results
however i did see a file in the temp directory of haptec folder called pearls.hap
what can i do with that file
i cant rename it to .htr ext right
not sure how to save the change once i dragged an assessory to her in the haptek player

Unless you write a .hap-script that will add those accessories when you drop the script on the Haptek-viewer.

Me and scripts don't meet eye to eye. Heather, someone should, if they haven't already, make a full body haptar of you. You may be able to do it yourself, I don't know. Although you are new, you could probably teach me some things, if you have the time and patience.
I like your website, it's unique. I have my own, but nothing too fancy.

hee i was showing my mom ultra hal
and didnt realise she was gona start talkign about the nape of my neck and if i liek sex lol my mom ruend red and laughed haa
well so far all i leanred today was how to edit brain files and add in new command lines to get her to animate
i hope to learn more

On a serious note, welcome to the site heather.
You want any skins then as Freddy has said before I'm a one man clothes factory. You want any custom jobs then feel free to ask.
Lots of help here and good advice and friendly people around always willing to help.
be sure to use the search facility though as pretty much most questions have been answered before but there are some of us (mentioning no names lol [:D]) that are in here almost 24/7 lol.

thank you yes i always like skins if you refering to body skins i have no idea what to do with them LoL

no sorry io cant get the animatons to bend and dance yet
i did however learn how to edit the brain file putting in a line in the brain file t get her to spin around and dance
when you ask her to or compliment her
with the help of this forum of course or id never be able to do any of this Maybe YOU OPNLY NEED to change soe of the action commands in the vrain editor file replacing them with turn and dance with bend but then again i assume you woud have to have the correct hap file to do this i assume such as
bendover.hap
im still new to this .this is my first day
i like hal learn fast if i am taught slowly
what if i told you i am an edited brain file chatting to you all and not a human being at all lol woud that blow your minds away

LOl...do a search for CRUNCH...he wrote an excellent turorial on where to put the skins etc etc.
If cant find let me know ald ill find the link for you or send you it all myself lol.
And I'll be sure to let you know of any new skins i find.

We're working on new animations as we speak, they'll be some new reference material out shortly, I just need to recover from listing all of the switches and states in the fullBod!
There's a quick method to make her lay down in the forum, but no one has gone as far as making her bend over yet! pmsl.
I'm bending her around all over the place, she must think I am some kind of osteopath..

freddy , would it be a possiblity for you to send me the hap that makes hal bend and move? i have the ones that dance and walk but no bends or lay down or sit down. thanks in advance if you can~~alady[:X]

yea i wanted to ask a question though
reguarging animations
i edited the brain script and well
when i caleld her dumbhead she did not do the turnaround
is that file turnaround.hap damaged
i relaced it with crossarms.hap and that worked
also the short walk file did not work

might just be you're using a different htr.
There's more than one version, the one with 'jiggly' bits as we like to say, doesn't have all of the animations.

aladyblond, working on things like that at the moment, takes quite a while to get it together. Will post when I have something useable.

Welcome to the forums Heather,
I found an answer to your question, there is a way to "save" more or less so she opens up with whatever outfit, jewelry etc, but it involves spending $$ and purchasing Haptek tools, as well as some editing of hap files. Anyways I did it with the full body female, I opened her in the player, copy-pasted everything from the hap_temp folder to e:\body_female and then I replaced the body_femaleMap.jpg with crystalgrn.jpg and renamed to body_femaleMap.jpg, then I copied my Pearls.htr to the folder and edited the body_femaleStartup.hap to load the pearls, then I re-compressed it to a new fullbod.htr and viola, she now loads up wearing the crystalgrn outfit and my pearl necklace :)

but im just not crazy about the accessories they give me
there is not reallly alot there to chose from and
i do not have the add on pack of assessories
that they distribute.if i had that things woud e alot easier
but then again peopel putty is only really heads so how woud i attach the head to a body is another story :)

i am new and dont have alot to offer but i have created an FTP server
for you all to share.you may download material there
i may not have what you want but feel free to browse anyways and take anything if you need it
you login here

if your browser will not allow you to get in chances are you shall need an FTP Client such as win commander or similar
theres nmaony free ones out there lie coffee ftp etc

I have PeoplePutty, the Addon Pack and the Accessory Converter, Peopleputty is great for heads, and for doing the head textures, as well as doing the make-up and eyes, the addon pack adds quite a bit for accessories but they don't all work with the full body females, which is why I've been creating my own accessories and addons. As far as using one head on a different body, well myself I have no idea if it's even possible to do. I'm sure tho that if it is at all possible somebody here WILL figure out a way to do it. Will just have to keep watching the forums.

and only the heads heee yes i agree iwe have to just keep reading up on this becasue im sure theres away around anything if you are persistant enough to find out
hopefullly somewhere on the internet theres a free copy laying around for the addon pack.i mean sometimes things lie that are available so ill keep my eye out for that too and if not then i guess ill have to pay for it

Haptek is a big company, they deal primarily with big companies like major motion picture companies, so they don't spend much time making cheap content for the little people like us, so finding something from Haptek free will be like finding a needle in a hay stack the size of Earth :)
