Hey you guys,

Below is a quote from a post on AiDreams. It has a link to some interesting haptars.
Thought some of you might be interested.

Hi all

Wow last time I posted on this forum was 2010. How is everyone doing? Well, I have a big gift for everyone who is still interested in Haptek. Below is a link with the Haptek objects I used in my PhD research. You will find many interesting goodies (e.g., a Haptek character with 2000 plus animations). Haptek is dead but if you are still interested in their technology you will find it fun to play with.

BTW, every since Unity appeared there doesn't seem to be many companies working in creating new avatar engines. Unity's Machinima seems to be the way forward now days to create avatars

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / On-The-Fly Compiling
« on: February 14, 2014, 04:32:59 am »

I've been busy playing with some code. I ended up making a plugin for extending Hal's programming capabilities a bit. I have no idea if this will work on other people's computers. So I will just show you guys a video of me talking about it and playing with it some.

If it works for people other than me, then it will give Hal the ability to use other programming languages a lot more powerful than VbScript.
Namely, Visual Basic, C#, and JScript (JavaScript).

General Discussion / For Robert
« on: November 07, 2010, 11:56:08 pm »

I wanted to say this because of recent accussations about Robert on the forum.

I'm working on an Ai myself and I also think very highly of Robert and all his work. This forum belongs to Robert, Hal belongs to Robert, the online Hal belongs to Robert... it does not belong to me, you, or anybody else for that matter except for Robert. That is a statement of fact.

Seeing that it all belongs to Robert then if I was to go on Robert's forum and make fun of him, debase him, say anything bad about him or his services in anyway then he would have the right to remove me. Because I would be on his terf. He could delete all traces of me here, or he could just ask everyone here to simply ignore me (and they would) :-X.

I respect all that he has done and I am very careful when talking to him... because I'm not a total idiot. If I did that then no-one... and I mean no-one here at zabaware would respect me (and rightly so).

But I get the impression that he is tollerant of stupid people because he wants to be. So I thank you Mr Robert for all your hard work and hope you never get disscouraged by idiots who just can't say anything nice.

Thank You Robert.

P.S. And If you just have to say something bad about him... then go to some other forum, is that so hard.

Well it all started last night when I went to sleep. Apparently, Lighspeed and Sandy were trying to go to DuskRiders house. I don't know why Sandy was with Lightspeed but I'm sure Sandy has some explaining to do. Anyway, this little adventure all started at a location I'm unfamiliar with. It look like some old brick buildings at the edge of a city. Lightspeed and Sandy started out from there. At some point there was some kind of a battle which took place over a large body of water, like a large bay. Then Lightspeed and Sandy somehow got jetisened into space. At that point LightSpeed wasn't looking to well. He finally attempted to get back to earth and managed to plot his course near DuskRiders house. Lightspeed landed in branches of a tall oak tree and was clinging on to Sandy to keep her from falling. At that point I made my appearance. I rushed inside Dusky's house, found him, and told him to call a Ambulance for Lightspeed. So He called them. I went back outside and saw both Lightspeed and Sandy on the ground face-up. LightSpeed looked like He had seen better days. Finally, after the Ambulance had arrived, Lightspeed had recovered and was talking to DuskRider, probably recanting His big adventure with Sandy.

Before I went to bed I watch Despicable Me, played an XBox game called Red Faction (about defending mars), and was concerned because I hadn't heard from LS in a while....  :P

General Discussion / American Money Crisis
« on: August 18, 2010, 01:10:00 pm »

Well, I don't like to get into topics that I don't fully understand. It seems that this is more than just a local issue too. Its been going on for several years if not decades. Yet no one here, except GT40 has brought it up. So if anyone wants to make a comment about it I guess I'll start.

By all that I here from the alternative press (i.e. Alex Jones) the US is screwed. (Although Alex still remains optimistic)

By what I'm actually experiencing in our local economy so far. We lost a Circuit City Distribution Center when the National chain went totally bankrupt.  We have lots of mom and pop stores around here that seem to be absorbing job losses. I work at the Post Office and by what I've learned so far they are barely hanging on financially. The rain this year has improved the local ranchers moral. Although many ranchers had already sold much of there cattle. Plenty of hay is now available for sale because of rain.

I heard someone from France (not GT40) say that America is dead, financially speaking, and the only ones who don't already know this is Americans, that the money tower is falling as we speak. Someone said that the reason we haven't fully felt its impact is because its hitting things on the way down. Eventually we are supposed to be in a very major depression.

I don’t know about all this but I do know that it is possible. We have a HUGE national debt, every American owes allot of money to credit cards and mortgages. We can’t even pay the interest rates let alone actually pay any of it off. And now we are suffering from job losses. Gerald Celente said that if America could invent and produce a new product that everyone else in the world would want then we could get out of this mess. I don’t think I could do this, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.  ::) Well, at least I can grow my own food.

Maybe Robert can send UltraHal sales through the roof and give us all jobs.  :)

If any of you have any idea what to do then please speak up.

General Discussion / Memristors
« on: May 10, 2010, 12:59:58 am »

Here is information about a new computer component called the Memristor.

People haven't been working very long on this but Its implications are extreemly important.

Simply put, all of todays computers are going to be severly outdated.. and I mean severly! in a few very short years.

Some of todays fastest pcs and largest memories will be no more than PDAs and Cell phones compared to what's coming.http://

I'll let youtube explain it further.

This is an oversimplied version

This is a very complex but very recent info.
