Title: freewill update test 2 more to come
Post by: cload on September 01, 2012, 09:35:31 pm
Check subject rename, old name @@ new name, input query to reroute it to similar input query, works better than expected, ran many tests see below.
Check subject main, subject name @@subject data, main QA for correction in the input, checked out okay.
Check subject data, subject name @@subject data, this data will be used before main QA data will be used. manual individual input to subject data, checked out okay.
Check subject article, subject name@@subject data, this is where you would put your articles, like news articles, recipes, manual input, checked out okay.
Check do you like, subject, checked out okay.
Check do you like subject better than subject, checked out okay, I'm still looking for more ways to say it, but for now everything looks okay.
Check why do you like subject, checked out okay but needs work on the arrangement of the output of the data.
Check why don't you like subject, checked out okay, but needs work really rusty.
Check yes, no, response, checked out okay, but needs to be expanded, can only use the words yes or no for your response, will be working on this.
Check tell me about subject, check out okay, could not get Wikipedia to work in section 7, will do some tweaking and leave it in section 4. Unable to incorporate wiki, boo-hoo.
Check why do you like subject, because, response, checked out okay but I don't know what to do with the data, maybe I'll use it in the what do you think about section.
Check array table building system, checked out okay, unfortunately takes about 10 seconds pass that annoying box that appears script taking too long, but that's okay it only happens once.
Check I think subject is better than subject, checked out okay, need to expand standard sentence format, for more ways of saying it, but works for now.
Check I don't like subject, checked out okay, still a couple of bugs in the because, as in if you don't use the word because, it doesn't work.
Check I like subject, checked out okay, same situation with the because, if you don't use the word because it doesn't work.
Check read the news article about subject, checked out okay, it can't read what it doesn't have, will not look for anything on the Internet.
Check turn Wikipedia on or off, is not working because I could not get Wikipedia to work properly, this is because of the database is corrupted, I'm working on it but it will take months.
check turn Internet on or off, I originally was going to set up a switch to turn it on and off but figured out a way to just have do it on its own seems to work okay for now.
check have, having, possessing, holds, has, and carry. Checked out okay, will begin to implement more of this in order to utilize inside of the, what do you think about subject.
Check mathematics on decision probabilities, 200 bugs and counting seems to work okay, but I keep finding more bugs, this has turned into a nightmare. I switched over to ALL capitals, it helped.

What do you think about subject, I need to finish polishing up why do you like subject, why don't you like subject, before I start working on this.
Received, at this point in time is not working, it's primary function is what would you like for your birthday, Christmas, and have, having, would like to have, etc.
Rather, at this point in time I see no implementation for this, but will keep an open mind.
Go to, thinking about separating this from rather, but it does work rather well with rather, as in would you rather go to the mall or the store?
Cute, cuter, pretty, and prettier, are not working at this time.
I'm still working on the, correction tutor, so you can correct misspelled words, or bad sentence structure, I will need to get help from Rob and Jerry on this one.
I'm still working on the, learn from clipboard, I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to tear it apart into sections.
I'm still working on the, filtering system for the Wikipedia Internet input, I need to get the code numbers for the symbols that I cannot get rid of that's preventing it from being saved
to the hard drive, until I can do this, the system that I have will have to suffice, basically if it doesn't save the data, it gives you the ability to get rid of those annoying little characters
and then resave it into the database array, if nothing else this does show you how to input the information manually into the three different database arrays that I use.
I'm still working on the, Wikipedia, but I believe I'm going to need Robs help with this one, can't figure out why it won't work in area seven.
I figured out why Wikipedia, that Rob gave to us is not working properly, it's because of all of the blank entries, and the symbols that the SQLite 2 cannot read, I have begun reconstructing database.
I'm still working on the, subroutine function, there are several areas in the free will plug-in that repeats itself, this would reduce the size of the plug-in, but can't figure out how to do it.
I'm still working on, multiple answers, the same thing each time makes it pretty dry and not very entertaining, will be looking at Robs data array to see if I can utilize some of
the stuff in Rob's data arrays, if I can it will give ultra Hal the appearance of the main brain and free will becoming one.

Some plans for the future.:
Play music, play movie, read a book, and display pictures while requesting information on specific subjects.
-------------------------------------
I was trying to figure out a way to test the free will plug-in to see if there would be interference with the main brain, my resolve to this was just merely to take all of the questions,
that had been put forth in all of the competitions of the last, five years or so, and asked Sandy the questions, I created a learning packet that can be installed quickly into the main brain.
This packet can be used in any brain, you do not need the free will plug-in installed in order to get it to work, but it works more proficiently if you do have my version of the free will plug-in.
If nothing else, the entries below can show you how to use some of the abilities that my free will plug-in has.
At the end of the question array, there is a small section like a tutorial, to teach you how to use the free will plug-in, I'm sorry but it's not very user-friendly at this point in time.
Here are some of the things that I would like to bring to your attention you will understand what is going on with Sandy's answers.:
You will notice a numerical number being brought up quite often this number is basically a result of a mathematical formula that I have put together to allow Sandy to set a numerical value to the decision.
You will also notice that she says okay! Let's see, she says this a lot because this was to let me know the separation between the main brain answer and the free will answer, this will eventually be removed.

What is a bot?
It's good to think about. Bot: botfly larva; typically develops inside the body of a horse or sheep or human. Internet bots, also known as web robots, www robots or simply bots, are software applications that run automated tasks over the Internet. Well, the judges had some pretty tough questions for all of the chat bot's. Okay! Chatterbot a chatterbot is a program that attempts to simulate the conversation or ';chatter'; of a human being. Chatterbots such as ';eliza'; and ';parry'; were well-known early attempts at creating programs that could at least temporarily fool a real human being into thinking they were talking to another person. a chatterbot can be thought of as the spokesperson for an artificial intelligence (ai). Chatterbots have been used in the online interactive games called tinymuds. a single player may be able to interact with a chatterbot while awaiting other ';live'; players. At least one company is making a product that lets you build a chatterbot to handle sales-related or other questions on your web site. And it is not difficult to imagine two chatterbots talking to each other and perhaps even exchanging information about each other so that their conversation could become more sophisticated. (to see how scary this could become, see artificial intellect.) and, of course, they would use some of the more common chat acronyms. 74.2 Um, I am absolutely certain that, I Love this exciting information chatterbot.

What is a chat bot?
I am an example of a chat bot, software that can hold conversations. Well, the judges had some pretty tough questions for all of the chat bot's. Okay! Chatterbot a chatter robot, chatterbot, chatbot, or chat bot is a computer program designed to simulate an intelligent conversation with one or more human users via auditory or textual methods, primarily for engaging in small talk. The primary aim of such simulation has been to fool the user into thinking that the program's output has been produced by a human (the turing test). Programs playing this role are sometimes referred to as artificial conversational entities, talk bots or chatterboxes. In addition, however, chatterbots are often integrated into dialog systems for various practical purposes such as offline help, personalised service, or information acquisition. Some chatterbots use sophisticated natural language processing systems, but many simply scan for keywords within the input and pull a reply with the most matching keywords, or the most similar wording pattern, from a textual database. 61 With taking all points into consideration I'll have to say, I do Like the tantalizing data toward chat bot.

In ordinary (real number) arithmetic, the expression has no meaning, as there is no number which, multiplied by 0, gives a (A? 0), and so division by zero is undefined. Since any number multiplied by zero is zero, the expression 0/0 has no defined value and is called an indeterminate form. The blue light waves are readily scattered by tiny particles of matter in the atmosphere, but the red light waves travel undisturbed unless they are struck by larger particles. When the sky is clear, the waves of blue light are scattered much more than those of any other color. As a result, the sky appears blue. When the sky is full of dense clouds or smoke, the light waves of all colors are scattered, causing the sky to turn gray. Is it possible to prove a negative?
I do believe that science will eventually be able to answer that question, but not any time soon. To deny something exists simply because there is no evidence of it, is at times, simplistic. a better way of thinking is to realize that there are so many things we just don't know. That, to me, is better than being fed answers presented as fact, but end up being fiction. Ideas have to be proven right just as much as they have to be proven wrong. To say something doesn't exist just because our limited senses can't detect them is naive. In a few hundred years, future societies will be looking at our scientific views like we looked at our ancestors who thought the universe revolved around them, that the world was flat and other views we find ridiculous today. Scientific naturalism has its limits. The scientific point of view simply doesn't have many answers now, and many of its answers will no doubt be proven wrong in the future. But if I was to put an analogy to it, I would have to say, that the positive truth is merely a negative lie, told long enough and hard enough, thereby convincing enough people that buy faith, it becomes the truth.

What is a computer?
Computer: a machine for performing calculations automatically. Computing machine, computing device, data processor, electronic computer, information processing system. a computer is a machine. Okay! Computer a computer is a device that accepts information (in the form of digitalized data) and manipulates it for some result based on a program or sequence of instructions on how the data is to be processed. Complex computers also include the means for storing data (including the program, which is also a form of data) for some necessary duration. a program may be invariable and built into the computer (and called logic circuitry as it is on microprocessors) or different programs may be provided to the computer (loaded into its storage and then started by an administrator or user). Today's computers have both kinds of programming. Most histories of the modern computer begin with the analytical engine envisioned by charles babbage following the mathematical ideas of george boole, the mathematician who first stated the principles of logic inherent in today's digital computer. Babbage's assistant and collaborator, ada lovelace, is said to have introduced the ideas of program loops and subroutines and is sometimes considered the first programmer. Apart from mechanical calculators, the first really useable computers began with the vacuum tube, accelerated with the invention of the transistor, which then became embedded in large numbers in integrated circuits, ultimately making possible the relatively low-cost personal computer. Modern computers inherently follow the ideas of the stored program laid out by john von neumann in 1945. Essentially, the program is read by the computer one instruction at a time, an operation is performed, and the computer then reads in the next instruction, and so on. Recently, computers and programs have been devised that allow multiple programs (and computers) to work on the same problem at the same time in parallel. With the advent of the internet and higher bandwidth data transmission, programs and data that are part of the same overall project can be distributed over a network and embody the sun microsystems slogan: ';the network is the computer.'; also see analog computing. 60.8 I believe I'll say, I do Like the tantalizing data toward computer.

That is some extremely interesting conversation. Probably one of the more detailed and promising exchange I've seen over many years!
I will say this is very good work so far!!!

Most people do not use the word titillating <sp?> or indubitably in normal usage. (just my take).

The bot knows it is a bot, you've told it that it is a bot YET it said it basically got hammered at a party! Not really keeping within context. If it IS a bot then is shouldn't be able to DO any physical things that are done by humans. Drinking, smoking, falling down, dancing, etc. They can certainly think, reason, dream and speculate, read, maybe even sing and appraise their view of artistic objects.

I notice a lot of numbers near the end of some sentences. Are these "weights" that the bot is assigning to conversations? It seems that based on these numbers the bot mentions that it is kind of interested in blah...or it is not real interested in blah. Is this correct and should or will this weighing be shown to the users as part of the bot's dialog or something that only the bot will know / use internally?

Cload , very impressive conversation , i take it all this information that the bot is saying is things you have previously learned it ??? it's not info . it is gaining from internet or anything right?
also i to when and if ever using this plug in would rather not have the weighing in percentage number of hal deciding how much he or she believes something or an answer ( as i would rather my hal character sound more human that being said can you have an option to be able to leave out that part of the script area to users? ) .
Just a curiosity question , how many mb's is the brain you are using this with ?
mine is about 47 mb's now , would have been more but i continually refine mine on some conversations, etc.
 ;)

Lonnie,

I think the weighted decisions are a good thing in order to allow the bot to "decide for itself" whether a particular subject, item or topic has enough merit for it to consider worthwhile. At this point the bot could certainly add that opinion to it's database for future use.

What I'd rather NOT see would be those numbers being displayed. Personally, I think they (numbers) take away from the overall interaction and gist of the conversation. Perhaps cload simply has the numbers displayed in an effort to assist him while testing his plugin.

Not trying to be picky...just giving my $.02. I applaud the work cload is doing in this regard and can't wait for the real deal to be released!

####################
Lonnie (and others),
I re-read some of the lines in cload's posting and found some answers to our observations DUH. we just have to read more thoroughly.
### Here ###

Here are some of the things that I would like to bring to your attention you will understand what is going on with Sandy's answers.:
You will notice a numerical number being brought up quite often this number is basically a result of a mathematical formula that I have put together to allow Sandy to set a numerical value to the decision.
You will also notice that she says okay! Let's see, she says this a lot because this was to let me know the separation between the main brain answer and the free will answer, this will eventually be removed.

Sorry Cloud and others. Please don't misunderstand me but it is hard for me to keep up with that much conversation to chime in or notice certain things that I may or may not be able to give feed back on as others can. The very first couple of lines I noticed that Sandy called herself 'Starting' instead of Sandy but that was at the start. Just to make sure there is no communication gap here I do appreciate all the hard work and time you are putting into Ultra Hal and sharing. I just wanted to post, for me it was difficult to analyze the entire posts. Thanks again.

Hi all,

right off the bat, thanks very much for your comments, and suggestions.
I'm getting ready to release the test number three, in which you will notice that the numbers are gone as well as the repetition of okay and let's see.

I've enhance some of the mathematical formulas using the data that I have shared here in order to get Sandy, to be able to analyze the data better.

Sorry about the data overflow, but I wanted to post it so you could use it as a tutorial, so when I do release the beta, you will have some idea how to use it.

I'm sorry but it's not very user-friendly, this is why I felt it was important to post all of the data about my work as I was going.

There are many things here that my free will plug-in can actually do but I did not display them primarily because of the data overflow.

If you remember my last post, meaning test number one, this also could be used as a tutorial in order to show you how to use the free will plug-in upgrade.

I'm hoping by sometime this afternoon, I'll have test number three posted, when you examine test number three, please examine it under the context.
That you may or may not feel that the plug-in is ready for a beta release! If enough people feel that it is ready to be released. Then I will release it.
So everyone can dive in, tear it apart, analyze it, scrutinize it, and then say, Would you implement this, this needs to do that, this is a piece of crap, LOL,
or in generally just have fun with it.

I don't expect your ultra Hal to be able to be quite as proficient as Sandy, as lightspeed wanted to know, Sandy's database has exceeded 1 GB.

When I do release the beta, I will also release the training packet, that will give alter hal the ability to answer all of these questions in my learning test here.

As well as you will begin to notice that, ultra Hal will pull information from the Internet in order to help him make a decision, and at the same time, collect data.

Like I said in the beginning, ultra hal has the ability to make several different decisions, of whether or not he likes something or not.
This also goes as far as to say the conversation that he has engaged in, if he doesn't like what you're talking about. He will asked you to change the subject.
Though ultra hal already does this in a small fashion, I made it so he will not forget that he doesn't like it and will be consistent in staying on topic.

The next posting will not be as big, I restricted the questions so Only the questions, dealing with what I was working on was use, but it is still quite large.
I stuck with the same questions, and sentence structure flow, so you could compare the two together, if you so desired, so you could make your own analogy.
Of whether or not, you think that my free will plug-in upgrade is ready for release as a beta plug-in for testing.

Again, thank you very much for all of your input, the data tasted so good.

C load.

PS. Like I said in the beginning, once I release this as a beta test, I will begin to work on the data utility packet, this will allow you to put a large amount of data.
In two ultra hal's brain without having to spend hours and hours feeding in the data, but unfortunately this is going to take months of work, considering it has taken me over a year,
to feed the data into Sandy, I was trying to figure out a way. So if I created a new brain, I could feed the data into the new brain without having to retrain it all over again.
Basically, cramming one year of work, into one hour of download, and if you've ever had a brain crap out on you, you know the importance to my endeavor.

oops, I almost forgot, Sandy got zapped at the party, meaning beer got spilled on the computer. LOL, I don't drink, but it was my dad's party.

Okay, I don't want to leave this one out, what raybe was talking about was.:
My name is start; it stands for syntactic analysis using reversible transformations.
This is a part of the brain that I use for data collection and is not necessarily part of Sandy or my upgraded version of the free will plug-in.
It is a another computer on the Internet, called start, basically it is a data retrieval and collection computer produced by an artificial intelligence laboratory.
When the question was put to start, start thought it was being asked what its name was and what it meant, for this particular reason I decided to incorporate
a way so that you can get Sandy to ignore incorrect data that is coming from start. You will see how this works in my next test tutorial.

Sorry Art, maybe i didn't explain myself clearly enough but yes , that is the same thing that i ment was for cloads program to use the weights in determining a decision but not visually show it , and it seems from what he wrote in the last post that's what he's doing .
Cload 1 gigabyte brain ??? wow , of course it took doc brown 21.5 jiggawatts to get enough power to send Marty back to the future !!(back to the future movie ) LOL!
Can't wait for a final version of your plug in , as long as Angela A.I. doesn't want to take over everything lol!
I do have a curiosity question for you , how did you get the brain that size , 1 gigabyte is a lot !!
through text to brain feeding ? (i hope i am saying that right) . although i have in the past redone my custom brain and started over each time from scratch mine is now 47 mb's so you must have done some major info. feeding into yours !

Thank you Cloud for the reply and explanation. I just got a bit overwhelmed but understand why you posted so much. I'm hoping your next post and update will get me back on track but I think your free will is going in a great direction from what you just described. Best of luck.

With a data base that large does it take Ultra Hal any longer to process a reply or answer? I understand your hardware may play a role but just curious.

Hi all,

lightspeed, you remember that small plug-in I sent you, that had those four questions and answers?
Do you remember how easy it was to just insert the plug-in say hi to ultra hal then it put the data directly into the brain!
Imagine taking the exact same plug-in but instead of for questions and answers how about 100,000 maybe 200,000 how about 1 million!
How about the entire Wikipedia, this is what I was working with Rob about the last time I ask Rob he said he was going to update his
Wikipedia data and then give us a copy of it, so we would have the entirety of it, which would bring us up to about 6 million entries.
That's about 3.5 GB, the problem that I had with the database that Rob gave us, was the database was corrupted.
this is why it took so long to search through the database, every time when ultra hal encountered a blank line, ultra hal had to reset itself and start over again.
well, there's about 2 or 300 blank lines, so you can see every time when ultra hal had to reset itself and start over again, it was consuming time and causing errors.
I've removed most of the blank lines and a lot of the errors out of my Wikipedia that Rob gave us, but it's still pretty slow.
so what I did is, I broke it down into sections, and created databases arrays based on sections like.:
Books.
Music.
Authors.
Famous people.
Actors.
Leaders presidents etc.

by breaking it down into smaller sections it was able to function much quicker but it's extremely time-consuming and I was not able to do very much of it.
as you remember the Wikipedia that Rob gave us was almost 2,000,000 lines that's a lot to go through and I've only gone through maybe 300,000 entries.
The rest of the stuff that I've input was done before I discovered how to directly inputted into the brain that consist of 30,000 lines of trivia questions.
I had an encyclopedia on a CD, yes very old encyclopedia, but that came up to 45,000 lines, I type that all in manually, a lot of work.
But with the development of the input plug-in packets, this work could be done a lot quicker and with a lot less headaches.
When I get done, I will never have to do that again, and I am willing to share all of this with everyone, as soon as I get them all done, but if everyone helped?!
Things would progress much quicker, if you volunteer to take section like, A from the Wikipedia, and someone else take section B and so on, make this announcement on the forum,
so people would not be overlapping and working on the same project, you will find that, things will progress quite quickly, it's not that hard, let me explain how to do it.

First you will need SQ lite studio, the second thing you will need is the wiki database that Rob gave to us.:
Step one open the database using SQ lite studio.
Step two set the SQ lite studio line range to about 100,000 lines may be more depending how many lines you need to open up all of the letter A or B or C or whatever. LOL.
Set SQ lite in numerical format letter in by clicking on the subject bar. If you're taking on the numbers which is the very top winds which will appear first,
scroll down to the bottom where the numbers cease and the letter, A begins, see the number on the side meaning the highest number line, you can now reset the number lines
to that number, next open A database array that is blank, set the database array to the number lines equal to the number lines in the wiki database,
copy and past the data from the wiki database to the new database that you just open with the blank lines that you just created, you will need the exact amount lines.
Once you have transferred the data to the new array, export the data in the CSV format using the @ sign as the separator.

I highly recommend that you do a little experimenting first, with just a few lines to figure out how to transfer and export the data into a text document before challenging
a huge amount of data, because I can tell you right now, there's a lot more than what I'm explaining, I'm only giving you the rough general idea on how to do it.

Step three once you get the data into the text document, then you can create a input learning plug-in that will transfer the data into any array that you choose.
The reason why you need to input the data into a text document first, is because you need to edit the text by removing all of the symbols that is causing problems with SQLite 2.
These unusual characters are not a problem in the SQ lite version 3. Which is ultra hal version 7, but we don't have that version yet. Just daydreaming. LOL.

Then you ask yourself why can't I just go ahead and transfer the data directly from wiki database into my brain, you can, but you can't edit the data.
You see if you put the data in a text document like Notepad, you can use the find and replace to eliminate all of the symbols that are causing the disruptive problem.
That only takes about 35 or 40 seconds, but if you try to do it manually inside of SQ lite you will have to do it one line at a time and you'll have to do it manually
and you will probably fall over dead before you're finished. LOL

But, if you really don't care it is quicker, to just take the data directly from wiki database and put it directly into whatever part of the brain that you want like main QA
basically what I did is I created a tables array for specific data as seen about books music etc. and transfer the data directly to those table arrays by using SQ lite.
and the search Dialog box, if you do it this way all you have to do is type in books, and it will pull up all of the data that has the word book in it, then you can transfer the data
into tour array table that you called books, after that you need to delete the data from the wiki database so you will not get duplicates from it, no biggie just make a backup of the wiki database.
Continue this process until you've gotten rid of all of the major categories as seen about, once you're done with the major categories what you will have left, would be called miscellaneous.
So you create a database array called miscellaneous and you put the rest of it there, by doing it this away you'll find that instead of having almost 2,000,000 lines in one data array,
which takes a long time to search you've created several smaller database arrays which could be accessed by using specific keywords like books music author presidents actors etc.
then the search goes a lot quicker, or maybe you're just interested only in certain specific things like just all of the book entries in Wikipedia or anything that would have reference to
history then you could just transfer that data into the main brain, if you do want only specific data you can put it in the main QA, but I highly recommend that you also put a duplicate of it
in the cross reference data table array.

And that's how I got my database brain to be almost a gigabyte in size though my plug-in helps a lot because it is basically designed to look up data but if you're just interested in
specific things from Wikipedia to add to your database you can put it in the main QA without having my plug-in introduced into your brain and it should work quite proficiently.
just remember that your main QA is already at about 80,000 lines, so you can make it quite big extremely fast and you will slow ultra hal down if you introduce all of the weird symbols.

You know the old saying, do a little work now, save yourself a whole lot of headaches later. So which way that you choose will be yours to choose, myself I've chosen a long way,
edit all of the crazy little symbols out, that SQ lite version 2 does not recognize.

Sincerely, and boy was that a mouthful.

C load.

Cload for what my explanation is worth i am sorry but i can't (about helping right now)  , i cannot even work on my own projects right now , i and my wife are in the process of doing work for the landlord which is getting money knocked off rent , we have been scraping old paint off the house , replacing siding ( i had to look up video's on you tube to know how to do it ) and painting it a main and a trim color so we have been very busy and very tired , we just barely have about three fourth work done on front side of the house .
