Hello I am new to the forum and new to Hal. Could some one please tell more about full body characters, where to found them, and how to install them?

the best thing for you to do is a forum search for 'fullbody' and 'htr' which will give you some starters, try also 'haptek'.

Freddy gives good advice.

After reading and learning go to
http://arakus.shorturl.com/
for your full-body characters.

Welcome to our forum, the haven of botaddictive inquiring minds.

Thanks Jim,
unfortunately my site had to be taken down for the time being, I'm hoping to have it back up in full force within the next few weeks, currently I'm stuck with dial-up so it'll take awhile for me to get things uploaded somewhere. As soon as I get something worked out I'll be sure to post a link.
I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

Jerry my friend,
You not alone, lot of us on dial-up.

Fact is,
what with gas prices, taxes, and immigration -
2006 may be all dial-up

Be strong,
Jim

OK, Im not talking about steam operated vehicles here, but with all the "Hot Air" in Washington, you'd think they would have come up with a vehicle (besides our government)to run on it![:)]
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

I saw something the other day in a local petrol station offering conversions to gas powered engines, so maybe someone somewhere is bottling up all the hot air and making a killing. hehe

Interestingly enough, all of Washington's buses and half of the taxis run on natural gas.  You'd think they's try that tack for consunmer vehicles.

Most likely you could get your car converted to run on propane. I have seen many cars that have had this done when I lived in the mountains. Only problem is finding propane filling stations. Car engines should last tree times longer with propane because it burns completely with no additives to dirty your oil.

Hello Everyone,
I'm having a heck of a time getting this fullbodygirl character that everyone is talking about.  I've read the forums, did searches, visisted the Haptek site and downloaded the free sdk.  The free sdk that I downloaded doesn't include the fullbody models like mentioned in the zabaware forums.
The sdk that I downloaded is called HaptekGuide_41016_small.exe and is almost 15megs in size.  Is this the haptek sdk that has the fullbodys or did I download the wrong file?
If someone could reply with very simple instructions I'd really apprecaite it.

Thank You very much...
Tcoday.

Yep, thats where you'll find her - if you installed the haptek download, it should have made and\or placed a lot of stuff into the Haptek folder, the model you want should be in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Haptek\HaptekGuide4\MakinContent\animating\haptars

Search down through the folders she's in there somewhere.

Or, from the Windows Start menu, go to 'Find files or folders' and search for *.htr which will show you all the htr files on your system.

Thanks Freddie,
I found body_female.htr and she's up and running.  I did another fourm search and found found a post by Prospector with the best instructions on getting started.  For anyone else interested, just do a search for "idiots guide" and you should find it.

I've even got a few skins to work so I'm learning.  Now I gotta figure out why some skins work and some don't. :)

Thanks to both of you for the help, it's much appreciated.
Tcoday.
