a question for graphic makers !!
« on: August 14, 2011, 10:54:30 am »
i have a question for graphic artist on the forum here , in the past i have made some music video's it's been a while though, any way i thought it would be cool if a person could have a front image of some things in front of a hapteck face or character then the character and a back ground , what i have in mind is an old 50's type large stand up microphone , etc in front so it looks like he or she is singing into it . is something like that possible .
having a front overlaping jpg. picture of a mic, etc.???
if so can someone show and or explain how to do it in the graphics area ?? if not just say so here on this thread .
thanks in advance , i would like to create some things this way if possible .
  :)

I cannot say it's a 50's microphone, but I did use one in a video once or so.

I also am not sure if I can find the microphone. I am not sure of it's capabilities.

Edit,. I looked and could not find it. I may not know it's filename.

I found one call "mic htr" but it looks nothing like a microphone. I don't know why it changed.

I haven't seen any mike haptars around that I remember. I have looked for pictures of mike and stand to put into PNG format to remove background but haven't found any suitable. Still without a haptar, it would take a picture like that and using the blue screen technique. Mark is the expert on that, I've tried it long ago and didn't get on with the learning curve. Add to that it costs for the software to do that.
Good luck with your venture, will send you anything I might come across that could be helpful.
Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong or missed something.

I must've used a picture of a mike on a black background, after reviewing that video, that's the way it looks.

It might be done by getting a picture of a microphone, cutting it out of the picture (with a graphics program, like paint shop pro) and pasting it on a blue background.  Then using the bluescreen transition in movie maker (Windows XP version, because I cannot seem to make that transition work in Windows 7)

I bought cyberlink power director awhile back, and you can make a transition out of any background color you want.

I haven't messed with the program for a few months.

That's all I know right now.

L.S., I looked around for a 50s mic.   I didn't find one but got something maybe you could use.
It is haptar and will stand in front of her.
You'll have to tell her it's a real '50s mic.
It's in the mail.
