Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. The CRT-monitor Hal character will be retired soon for a more modern Hal character, possibly based on a flat screen, mobile phone, or tablet. I'm still working with artists with that character.
The Zabaware logo will be changed to a much more simple silhouette of a frog rather than the complex frog that is there now. The slogan will also be simplified from "Giving your computer the power of thought" to just "Intelligent Machines". This is because Zabaware will be focusing on more than just computers and will have things for mobile devices and web servers.
I'm bilingual and speak Polish and English fluently. When coming up for the name for Zabaware back in 1997 I reached into my Polish vocabulary. "Zabawa" is the Polish word for "fun" or "party" and "Zaba" is the word for Frog. So Zabaware means fun or frog depending on how you look at it. That's where the frog character and logo came from.
I think that when people talk with a frog character they are more forgiving of bad responses. When people see a human character they expect human level intelligence but tend to not except as much from a talking frog. I think it helps in the perception of Hal's intelligence a little bit. So I'm probably going to keep the frog character but give it an update.
It's far from finished, but the new design for Zabaware we are working on is at
http://iis.ultrahal.com You can see the new logo and slogan and a new Zaba frog character. Please let me know your thoughts on this design so far. I promise my feelings won't be hurt if you have anything critical to say.
Even though it looks simple, there is a lot of complex javascript, AJAX, CSS, HTML 5, server side scripts running on that page. I know the products page is not formatted correctly, but does everything else look ok? Does the video play? Do the video controls show up? Are you able to switch between full screen video and normal video? If not let me know what browser you are using and whats wrong.
