Title: Hal dosn't save settings in danish Win 2K
Post by: Nathan Brazil on September 04, 2003, 02:23:23 pm
When I go to General Options - Startup Tab and chose

I want Hal to automatically load when I start Windows ...

It dosn't save these settings.

This mean that I still get this annoying window with all options. I only want to have the Icon in the taskbar.

Can you post your user config file that ends with the extension .HLA located in Hal's folder? Basically I want to see how it stores certain True/False settings.

Yes sure, but when I try to do it I get an error-message:

Upload File has errors!

bla bla bla  - and then:
certain file extensions are not accepted!

I'll try to change the file extension and then you can change it back:

... it worked
(I don't hope this is your firewall or antivirus system [:D])

If you want me to try something it has to be in this weekend, because I am going on a summercamp with my students (I'm teacher) next week and I am not home before next sunday then!

Hi - I am back from "hollyday" now and I am ready to "work" again. Do you have any news on the subject with international versions.

I thougt it could have something to do with the path to programs. In a danish version it is

"C:programmer"

But I'll try to install Hal on another partion (Win 98)and then install it in "C:program files" to see if this works.

It didn't work. [V] I still can't save my settings. At least not

"I want Hal to automatically load when I start Windows ..."

Under my research I was looking in the registry for the settings, but I didn't find anyplace where last user is saved. Where is it? [:0]

You can ask several bots for knock knock jokes...

You are not forgotten... your problem is being fixed in the final release... I seriously doubt there will be any more beta releases...
