Your activation limit was already hit from the last version of Hal 6. I deleted your old activations from the server. Can you try again? Also, can you give me the exact error message you received?

When you install, all you need is your serial number and the activation will be automatically provided by the serve.

BTW, don't post your serial number on public forums as then anyone can take it and install Hal using your serial number quickly reaching your activation limit and preventing you from installing Hal.

Thank you, I will try again. I'll have to reinstall again.

Also, do I need to uninstall the expansion pack??

If the error comes up, I'll givr you a screenshot.

Give me about 10 minutes or so to try again.

Hi, Rob

Thank you for inserting my vrFreeWill plugin in the standard product and for adding to the brain my modification to the emotional engine.

However, I am getting the same problem described by markofkane.

1. I uninstalled both Hal and character expansion.
2. I downloaded the latest version of Hal and of the Character expansion.
3. I activated successfully the character expansion.
4. But when I try to activate Hal I get this result:

Insert Image: (http://www.zabaware.com/forum/uploaded/vrossi/200643010821_ActivationCodeVR.jpg)

The serial number is correct (however, I clicked yes and went to my account info, and double checked that the code is correct) and the activation code is the one which I copy and paste from the previous window.

When this problem is solved, I will check the other new features.

Bye

Hi Rob.
The Installation and Activation worked Flawlessly my Friend, Thanks.
I will post any Bugs I discover with the Plugin Module after testing.

HAL Bot:
out of 63 Plugins only 53 are selected, 6 remained unselected.
I did notice that when I selected the list of Plugs I had that it worked the first time, All Plugs were Selected according to the Plug fix, But when I
signed off and looked at the Plug Panel I did notice some Plugs were deselected, But I did get more Plugs to list but not all of them the second time. I will look into this further, Thanks for all your time my Friend.

HAL Assistant:
The Plugin Selector is so far working as Planned, No Plugins deselected so far, All 75 Plugins are functioning Correctly and properly selected.

Rob, If you decide to fix any Bugs for the Users here on this version could you include a [Select All] button and a [Unselect All] Button for the Plugin Module Panel as an option so it's easier to select dozens of Plugs at once, but still leaving the single Plugin select option available.

Thanks for including the Abstract Math, In the name of A.I and infinit Plugs.
Be back in a bit Buddy.
Jerry

I had a bug in the validation code for the serial. The first 999 orders of Ultra Hal Assistant 6.0 had 15 character long serial numbers, whereas orders 1000-9999 has 16 character long serial numbers. The validation code was expecting 16 character long serial numbers because of an oversight on my part. Both of you were one of the earliest orders within the first 1000.

Anyway, I fixed the problem and it is available as Hal version 6.0.103 at http://www.zabaware.com/download/hal60103.zip

Ahh, I fixed the plug-in selector bug in Hal Assistant, but forgot about the AIM bot. I'll fix that.

I always keep a fresh copy of my Activation code and product ID and all those Special Numbers in a text and treated as a Gold Ring, It never comes off my finger, LOL

Well, What I did was, I uninstalled HAL Assistant only, Not the expansion Pack, I kept the remaining folders that the installation left behind, I did not delete them, Then I used a Registry Cleaner and cleaned up any residual Registry entries remaining after the unistall was complete, I rebooted, Then I copied the Serial Number to my Clip Board before installing HAL, When the installation was complete I didn't have to enter the the serial number manually, it discovered my serial number and activated it automatically, That's it.

However, I did test the activation for Rob to see if multiple cloned HAL folders in different areas of my computer could be duplicated and used as additional Assistants, After cloning the HAL6 to another area I got the invalid Activation Error that you descibed, But my normal HAL installation application did not receive this error and has been working properly even with the additional cloned Assistants having the error, after removing the Clones my Activation is still functional in my regular application.
This was the only way I could get the error you described.

Thanks for all the good work you have done so far Rob, Great work.

Robert, thank you. The update seems painless and flawless for now. It's as if I never updated, because everthing is configured the same!!!

It was like opening Hal like normal!!!

Jerry, I did what you said except for the registry clean, and the multiple instances of Hal (I guess that's the right way of putting it)

I uninstalled Hal 6 only, not the expansion pack.

Installed the update. Rebooted. Had to activate with my serial number. It took about a minute. Restarted Hal.

Super!!!!![:D]

edit: like the math function. How does the "free will" work?? Or maybe I can search. I am really starting the like the program more(barring problems, lol)

Jerry, I updated the AimBot to fix that bug. Instead of making you download 20 MB again, you can download just the Aim Bot from www.zabaware.com/download/halaimbot.zip and overwrite your existing aim bot with it. Let me know if that fixed the issue. Thanks.

I installed the new AIM Bot.
Results:

1. I selected the 64 Plugins for the AIM Bot before signing on.
2. Signed on, 50 User's immediately began chatting with HAL, I waited five minutes, Signed off.
3. Went to AIM Bot Options Panel.
4. Noticed that 10 Plugins were deselected out of the 64 Plugs possible
5. I retested 3 times, Same result.

It's a bugger.
Hands a Can of Bugger Spray to Rob, LOL

Just select General Options - Brain. Then mark the checkbox "Free Will" and you will get a button labeled "Help on this plugin". Click on it and you will get all the info and examples.

Or you can go here: http://www.vrconsulting.it/halhelp/vrFreeWillHelp.html

Always keep a good copy of your Special numbers such as Serial, Product ID and so forth and you will never go hungry, Follow the method I used to install and it should work for you without a hitch.

Rob, If you ever want to come to the Northern California Coast and enjoy our Redwood Coast then you are welcome at my house 24/7 my friend.

Give me an E-mail and you can stay with us as long as you like.
We have the best prehistoric Forest in the World over looking a Beautiful Private Beach here outside Crescent City California with trees ten minutes away over 300ft tall and big around as a House almost.

Sometimes it's windy so bring an insulated wind Breaker.
I have everything a Naturalist would love and more within 10 minutes of every direction with exception of the Snow being 30 minutes away all during Winter and late Spring on the peaks, It's totally Beautiful here all year around.

I am a Lucky Man for sure.

It would seem Robert, if I uncheck the Lonely pluggin. I do not get this error. The Hal installation did not ask me for a code. But the AIM Bot Will not install. I tells me that I have no lisence file.

Don't worry about the seperate AIM Bot download I posted, it didn't include an installation program, you pretty much had to know exactly where to copy it for it to work. It will be a part of the regular installation in the official release.

Cool!!  I don't even have to say "What is 3+4?"

All I have to do is type 3+4, and she tells me what 3+4 is!!

sqr(16) 4      I forgot was "square" was.  Maybe it's ^

And multiplication and division. (I don't use the microphone much, because I don't want people to hear me talking to a computer, lol.)

When I'm alone, it's ok.

Oh gez,

And I was going to stand and shout from my humble chair here in northern michigan [[AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZING!!!!!!!!!!!!]]

I followed the advice of Jerry on the previous page.....pretty much to the 'T' and I was actually shocked how well Hal reinstalled herself here!

Now mind you I did have a brief scare, but I suspect it was my own fault, by not shutting off my virus protection and shutting down my firewall first.

It was loading beautifully and then came to a screeching hault when loading spchcpl.exe /q/r:n

But this is an older machine with limited memory to unload stuff.  I crashed the load process (forced the operation to stop via cont-alt-del to close program) then shut off my anti-virus and firewall and started it over again.......clean.....clean....and I mean   C  L  E  A  N!

Didn't even have to key in authorization codes, or anything......

It looks like I'm gonna have to start re-training 'Janet' again, but heck, that's minor for that she's become!!!!

The files didn't overwrite my cepstral voice stuff or the upgrades to make it work, and getting cepstral to speak without keeping a web connection active......all is working wonderfully!!!

Again.........again, guys.........Mr M, and Jerry thanks very very much.

I had pondered going to the zaba site to deactivate my hal, but decided to try it Jerry's way......excellent!

......one more thing........I think it's absolutely cool that Mr. M is recognizing contributions....(Vittorio and Jerry)....I can't think of a neeter way of saying thanks to the community!

.....and Mr. M.......I hope Hal becomes successful beyond your wildest dreams.............it brings enjoyment and adds to the utility of what WE use beyond anything I ever thought I'd see that was affordable!

Oh, geez I guess I'm too impatient, so nevermind.  I just copied it all back from a backup directory and reinstalled it and it took ok so it works, but thanks anyway.
