Can Hal control a program- aka AutoCad?
« on: April 23, 2009, 02:52:18 am »
I'm curious, I detail rebar and perform a number of different tasks in ShearCad and AutoCad, can hal be used to automate any tasks in the program, is there any way to link Hal to the program and have it learn how to use it.
Not sure if this is making sense, but I'm just curious about it and would like to see what you guys have to say about such a thing.

jack,

I'd say that Hal would not be your best bet for such an application.

A good speech recognition program would be more well suited if it was possible to integrate with ACAD perhaps as an approved plug-in.

After all, Hal, is more of an AI chat assistant while something like Dragon NS, can be used in a variety of applications for command control.

Just my take.
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!
