Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Keywords...
« on: October 23, 2003, 11:51:28 am »
I have just started using Hal and I am very happy with it so far. My question is:

In the brain editor I added the keywords BECKEY and BECKY and told it to say :Hello Beckey, nice to meet you" Priority level is 1.

When I ask Hal "I would like you to meet Beckey" Hal does not use the comment I requested.

Why isn't he reading the keywords???

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Problem with SR Engine
« on: December 31, 2002, 06:58:56 pm »
I am running Ultra Hal Assistant 4.5.57 on a Dell 8200 - Pentium 4 - 2.5GHz computer.

In options, in the speech section, I choose Dragon English NaturallySpeaking from the Select SR Engine and Hal works perfect. Next time I go into Hal it is no longer using NaturallySpeaking! If I try to re-select it I get the following error:

Error13:
Type mismatch occured at line 3 in Ultra Hal Assistant:
frmOption1. Command10_click

I also get the option box in the middle of my desktop when Hal is Minimized with no way to remove it!

I really love this program when it is running correctly and would like any help you can offer.

Thanks......Bob Rush
