Ultra Hal 7.0 / haptek console box showing answer as "0"

i know that it was mentioned that maybe its the grammer of the question being written into hal but , below is a copy of the transcripipt of hals hapeck console after hal gives a blank answer is their also any clues on here as to why hal is also giving blank answers a glitch perhaps ? ?

if you notice above the q and a the "q" says staus is busy and the "a" says "0"  thats when hal answered with a blank question (none ) . [!]

Ultra Hal 7.0 / text file versions which one does hal use ?

although the learn from test and paragraghs table has been out a while i have a question , when i go into the learn from area in hal "learn from text file wizard and hal place a group of paragrapgh sentenses that i use it can come up with three responses (for example 1 0f 3 ) and the associated topic below . my question is :
    of the 1 0f 3 responses does this mean when your done rewriting the question (tweaking it ) that  hal will use only one of these three responses when it matches this topic or does hal "actually use at random 1 of these 3 responses ??
    because it hal actually uses all three randomly which i think it should then that would mean that all three answers should be tweaked the way you want them to be . does anyone know on this (cutting edge ?? robert ?? anyone ?? ) [][]

yes tedathome that was me that was talking about a hal laughter file that hal would use and would play an actual laughter sound clip (various ones when joking etc. ) to sound more like a real person laughing . who knows maybe robert can create a program like that down the road . i hope so !![]

thanks robert for writing on here i figured the next version would be 6.2 but didn't want to say since i didn't know for sure . yes any bigger fixes or things that may be done will be farther future versions and understandable.
   am eager to see what the new hal brings (as always ) and appreciate your time you put into this and of course others who contribute their know how etc. []take care

i have another thing i would like to bring up about hal that i think is a problem that maybe in the future model could be fixed .
   when ever i answer hal she may really ? and i anwser yes and she may continue , is that so ? is that right ? and continue on like this . this is more a nuisance than being practicle i can see maybe saying is that so ? i answer yes and maybe say something simular once more but to keep on and on about four or five times shouldn't be necessary .
   it woould be nice if this could be fixed in the future hal version . it may sound like i am nit picking but this to me is really kind of annoying i don't know about anyone else on this . []

well i stand corrected about maybe the sentence didn't make sense as below it said a sentence correctly and it still came back with a blank answer from hal . below is what it did even with a correct sentence .

lonnie: yes i missed you i always miss you when your gone away from me !!
angela: Would you like it if we both missed each other?

 so that blew that theory of mine about a default blank aswer out of the water .

ok it happened again my angela left a blank message here it is :

 maybe the cause for this happening is that the sentence she said back to me didn't make sense and i still answered yes , in another words hal placed the question in an area to figure it out to correct it later ? and so her response since hal didn't have it figured out was by a defalut "blank answer " . if by some chance robert is reading this maybe he can answer this for us . []

hello raybe and carl2 well which ever of you two that can send me the newest version go ahead and i will try it in mine . i have a question for you do you have a custom brain that your using it in ?? mine is a custom brain . what is your settings that you have your plug in set at ? what i want in mine would be for the brain to get frustrated fast and respond every minute (the quickest ) . in another words instant results so i know its always working . and if then it doesn't work maybe i could let someone have a copy of my brain i created and check it . []

hi carl2 thanks for writing , the only plug ins i have now that are checked are two weather plug ins which both work fine . although maybe leaving the files in the db brain could have something to do with it . i guess i need to take them out since they arent checked to use and since they don't work with the 6.1 version (very sad !![])

hello echoman , robert is working on the next version of hal i don't know what version number it will be called (as it is 6.1 now i don't know if the next version will be called 6.2 or make a jump to version 7 which really won't matter what number it's called ) but yes he is working on the next version which is why i have been throwing out idea's for what i think would be good for hal to have in the next version and hope that others (some have ) also share their idea;s for what hal needs on next versions (if it can be put in !) []

hello marslogic i am glad the you wrote back and if you do have the capabilities to solve some problems and are willing to share the knowledge as others have done on here for none material (money ) gains as others have done then i and i know others will hope you will do so to help progress hal to a further state of being an  a.i system .
   Any "actual " progress on some or all of the problems would be appreciated ,  if i could myself i would do so i am capable of coming up with idea's if others are able to empliment them which some members have done in the past . your intellegence is appreciated "actions from your intelligence on actual solving of problems will be appreciated even more . "[]

hello tedathome well i am just trying to think of things that i think would help in our hal usage and hope some of my idea's make sense and are doable by robert , thats why i am trying to come up with as much as i can because i know robert is working on the next version an i hope he can incorperate some of these idea's into the next version of hal .
    i think one of the biggest problems facing hal users is hal staying on a subject (better , instead of changing subjects constantly) as i said if a slider  or setting could be created that would let the user set how often hal changes subjects that would be better and the other major things is hal carrying on a better conversation with the user .these to me seem to be the two biggest problems in hal 6.1 version []
