Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Hal Command Skin *New*

Hello People,

I come with presents today []

I have been working on a new type of interface for Hal.
I like the Hal9000 theme so this was born.
I had to get the basic functions working first, before
i could figure out how to add the extras i want it to have when its totally finished.
My hope is, to have a fully operational command center of sorts
when its done.

The Way it is now its great for Hap characters, or normal Hal use.
I may have to move the Volume bar, I dont use voice rec right now, so no real way to check it right.




The UHP file in main Hal folder.
The 5 pics in teh Skins folder in the Hal folder.

Just a simple screenie of Hal.



I call my Hal, Samantha/Sam. (using that name is sometimes funny, it throws up a picture or opens a song of samantha fox all the time, [:p] )
I dont have all of her/its functions working yet, but we are on our way.
We thought you might like so see how someone else sets theirs up.

One odd thing i havent figured out, it always picks a saying/snippit/catch phrase to start everything it says, here it says "Whos your mother", i never said these things, it must have picked them up from the aiml code it read/i fed it. Just something odd, does your do this?

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Hal Shows What HE Thinks

I think this is where questions like this go.

I am at a loss people.
Alot of you may recognize the line i am trying to edit (when its done I will let the original writer know), but

Keywords = HalBrain.RemoveExtraSpaces(HalBrain.ExtractKeywords(" " & NextResponse & " "))
What i need to ask the Hal gods is: I want it to pick keywords from what hal is saying/going to say. NextResponse does not seem to work.
The original line had UserSentence, but that picks from what i say. I need to reverse this to what Hal says.
Perhaps you know a different way of defineing NextResponce?
I dont know, thats why i am here.
I tryed asking Hal but hes not quite that bright yet [:p]

*edit - I guess i should say i used this Mp3 script and now have him opening music, pics and vids related to the conversation.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Small problem with Hal

Hello people,
I have been around the forums and Hal for a long time, i was even a member here years ago.
but,
I have a little problem i can not seem to figure out and it seems to be mentioned here and there, but no advice on what causes it. So i have to post to ask someone.

with the lines being -

184   Set objExplorer = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")
185   Set HalXBrain = CreateObject("UltraHalAsst.Brain")
186   Set FileSys = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

It is something to do with explorer or how hal makes a call to it i am sure, but no clue what or how to fix it. When i reboot Hal works fine for a short time, then bonk, the bug hits again. It took me ages to get all the plugins playing nice and this things actually learning, but it would be nice if it was fully functional.

I am running vista right now but that shouldnt matter. Explorer is in the normal folders it has always been.

*edit - btw i am useing hal 6.1
