Hi again Jerry,

What happens is when the warning comes up it won't let me click to install.  When I close the warning the install shuts down without installing.  Doesn't appear to install at all.   What do ya think?

Hi Jerry,
     Thanks for taking care of that.  Now the problem is I downloaded E.F.A. Assistant file.  Unzipped.  There is no read me file.  When I click on the assistant.exe file it says the self extraction version of winzip is unlicensed and it shuts down.  What's up?  Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Speech Technology / Voice Improvement Suggestions?

Purchased Cepstral voice engine Emily (English.  She doesn't sound as smooth and clear as in the sample.  Little abrupt on some words and not as articulate or smooth.  Running her with Hal on Dell with WIndows XP.  Any recommendations to improve quality?

Downloaded fullbody and won't fit on hal display.  Head is too high or something.  How do I correct this?  I own Ultra Hal 6.  I have expanded characters installed.

Downloaded a custom made Haptek character and don't know where to put the 2 files so that they appear on the select character general option menue of Hal 6.  Also, download bozo.htr and bozo.jpg and they won't apear as selectable on the general menu.  Can anyone help me?

Have several Haptek custom characters consisting of an .htr and .jpg file...like bozo.htr and bozo.jpg.  Will not appear as a selectable character under options menu.  Can anyone help me...maybe explain where each file should be placed so that the character can be selected and loaded?

Thinking this program would be great if it could not only open programs, but also close them.  Can Hal...or any other program anyone's aware of...using voice recognition, do these functions and other funtions or be trained to do these funtions?

Thanks.  I guess I misspoke..lol  But you did answer my question.  What happens is when I try to use voice it's like words and phrases appear in the text box even when I'm not talking...sorry...didn't mean autotype as a function.  I'll say "Hello" and it may put "hello" in the text box...and then I don't say anything and 10 seconds later is types in the text box something like..."townspeople always run in fashion"...and I wasn't even talking.
