Speech Technology / Voice Improvement Suggestions?

Purchased Cepstral voice engine Emily (English.  She doesn't sound as smooth and clear as in the sample.  Little abrupt on some words and not as articulate or smooth.  Running her with Hal on Dell with WIndows XP.  Any recommendations to improve quality?

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Why does my full body not fit on Hal display....

Downloaded fullbody and won't fit on hal display.  Head is too high or something.  How do I correct this?  I own Ultra Hal 6.  I have expanded characters installed.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Where do I put Downloaded .htr & .jpg character

Downloaded a custom made Haptek character and don't know where to put the 2 files so that they appear on the select character general option menue of Hal 6.  Also, download bozo.htr and bozo.jpg and they won't apear as selectable on the general menu.  Can anyone help me?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Help installing custom Haptek Character into Hal 6

Have several Haptek custom characters consisting of an .htr and .jpg file...like bozo.htr and bozo.jpg.  Will not appear as a selectable character under options menu.  Can anyone help me...maybe explain where each file should be placed so that the character can be selected and loaded?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Can Hal close program, etc...or just open

Thinking this program would be great if it could not only open programs, but also close them.  Can Hal...or any other program anyone's aware of...using voice recognition, do these functions and other funtions or be trained to do these funtions?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Voice Recognition Problem

I am using the 31 day trial version of Hal.  Works fine for typing a response.  Have done several training session for voice recognition.  For some reason text box shows responses when I talk...and even when I don't talk...which are no where near what I said.  Sometimes after the autotyped half sentences appear in the text box...it will then show what I said.  Anyone have an idea of what is happening here and how to correct it?
