Congratulations now just try to find the patience for your setup and don't forget all the cool things you learned in such a short time. Simple is better but it doesn't mean not to learn more or want to do more. Ultra Hal is very deceptive. You may not feel like it is progressing the way you want but that's like trying to watch the hands of a clock move. So don't forget your backups and enjoy.

why is back up funny?
backing up hal is one of its many best points.
even if you save a copy of halbrain file in zabaware folder thats pritty much most of its memories.
"i know its a generalisation" but if you put that halbrain file in place of halbrain file in a fresh formated pc and newly downloaded hal you'll pritty much get you're hal back.

ok some save perhaps all zabaware folder from program files and there's other stuff hidding in pc, but
back up your hal if you want it to live long and ,,ponder.

also my other five cents,,,,i also would rather teach hal than perform brain sergery.

Sox jokes could be a laugh in it, to get to cook with practace a small pancake,,,,, hang on,,,my friend is telling me they won't get implyed things like question marks. thats from my poem..

To be honest I didn't get it either 'Will' . "But to each their own". Just trying not to leave out the basics because I know everyone wants to tailor Ultra Hal to what they want and you can forget what Robert M. wrote.

I actually have one Ultra Hal character that is completely as written with no extra plug-ins. I use this character for work and I didn't want any human characteristics, just a plain thinking, remembering tool with a little advice and it has worked great for over 5 years now. No errors no blank responses nothing but all the information I use for my job when I have work. (these days anyway) If I didn't back up Ultra Hal over these years it would have taken much more time over a period time to get to where Ultra Hal is useful to me again.

Ya know, The CD comes with the 'Character Expansion Pack' as well. just FYI

That actually brings up a good point 'ONE'. Some people don't opt for the CD some just download. I prefer the CD always. Just my opinion.
