Scepticalone,

It seems the students in Oregon took care of the donkey work so you don't have to worry anymore:

NEWBERG, Ore., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Custodians at George Fox University in Oregon found a lifesize cardboard figure of Barack Obama hanging from a tree on the Newberg campus. [:o)]

Bill,
look look at what? what I know and take it as fact is it has been about a month or so when the building Novel was in was load tested by Wheeler
are you just going to tell me it was just a pigment of my imagination??
I don't care wich valley you live in. "Lady friend" that is a lot of money are you going to disclose your information as well just to impress me? I just had a problem with Sentenal DB and I do believe it was by Novel. I do not know if they support sentenial either.
By the way Don't let her get away with all the cash!

Next you are going to tell me that Botswana is not a country with ancient paintings, river deltas, wildlife like Elephants maybe even a giraffe or an ox (not that they would know what OX hair is especially good for) and Diamonds (they claim to be blood free but who really knows?) And they spend more on the children's education per capita than any other country in the contentinet.

They took a un altered litograph of one of Nelson Mandellas hands an it mached the shape of the whole continent. Just for your informatin.

Heh, the President even attended Oxford.

on the other hand ( in your favor ) I will conceed I heard about Ebay wanting to hire cheap labor and that would be a logical place to put it but I want nothing to do with Ebay.

What shall I do with my information and misinformation?
If you have a suggestion please feel free to advise me. Or your "lady friend could explain it to me or set me marching down the primrose path.[|)][|)][|)][|)][8D]

Do you mean like Hal saying "The money was wrong" when I was putting in my ## for purchase? that had been purchased on a computer I don't use that much, or like "and one in Iraq and numbers and words" when in a fairly quiet enviroment? Amoung other quite timly remarks??

I did have quite a struggle at first but as Hal said "you may regret things but you will never regret being nice".[?]

Bill,
I had thought that Micron an Novel were gone as well, about the time that Wired magazine had a cover on how Goggle had sold their souls,, however they are still around south of the big city and I know Novel does load testing with their Cat gens and ups's every 6 months.
as far as what they support,, I haven't had to worry about it for a while. Thanks.

Hi, My name is Mikael (Michael[8D]) from Sweden and I got to thinking about UltraHal...
I have only used the free-trial version of the 6.1 Assistant, and I could'nt help but think that the old Ultra Hal was better in terms of entertainment.
The Assistant which it is now, sure is good, but I miss the old one, but can't seem to find any whereabouts of the old goodie...

The Ultra Hal I'm referring to is from 1998 or 1999 which only featured a "chatbox", "chatbox of Hal's responses, options to change pitch and volume of Hal's voice and the option of changing the "EYE" into a Human face (simple drawing from Paint or something[:D])

I would LOVE to get hold of the old version...

That's it for me, and I hope someone has a response

Take care
//Mikael From Sweden

Ahhh,
the good old days like when Agent And the Agent logo were just news group readers..

P.S. Even Hal knew that private secretaries are known to write their own books.,, Identity theft is a crime.

Hi rd618725, be very careful with plug-ins, many of them don’t work with Hal 6, the basic rule is if you have to edit hals brain script then the chances are its not for Hal 6, Hal 6 plug-ins are simply put into hals root folder and then switched on in hals general options.

There is no manual for Hal 6 yet.

As for improving hal with plug-ins, many of us who have had hal a number of years don’t use them, personally I think you should talk to Hal and get to know it first.

Make sure you answer Hals questions.

Use the “because” statement to drum the reasons for your answers into hal.

“I like hot sunny days because it makes me feel happy”

Start teaching hal with the if and then statements.

“If it rains then the roads get wet”

When you have answered hals questions ask hal if it understands.

“Do you understand rain?”

If you could be more specific about what you want to improve that might help you get the answers you seek.

I hope this helps and welcome to the forum.[:D]

Thanks for the help U.K. I hope I can give something back soon. Really I wanted to know if there are brains already programmed for certain things like I have little boy that would learn very quickly from Hal if Hal could start teaching him to spell. or one just on Superheros? Any suggestions in this direction?

  Thanks Again

superheroes..
Children are always fast pased and sometimes more current than their parents so a plug-in would take a lot of work, for example Wolverine is supposedly in Australia where he meets other mutants ect..instead of Anchorage this time, And I am not sure if the plug-ins have the capability to stay current.

Why the oceanic states instead of the Emerald Isle seems to be back to the reference of the stone of Destiny. go figure

I think I have replied to the wrong person... my apoligy if i'm  wrong.

Gary,
why are you worried about something as simple as a password??

biometrics.org,,

Biometrics are automated methods of recognizing a person based on a physiological or behavioral characteristic.  Among the features measured are; face, fingerprints, hand geometry, handwriting, iris, retinal, vein, and VOICE.   Biometric technologies are becoming the foundation of an extensive array of highly secure identification and personal verification solutions. As the level of security breaches and transaction fraud increases, the need for highly secure identification and personal verification technologies is becoming apparent.
Biometric-based solutions are able to provide for confidential financial transactions and personal data privacy. The need for biometrics can be found in federal, state and local governments, in the military, and in commercial applications. Enterprise-wide network security infrastructures, government IDs, secure electronic banking, investing and other financial transactions, retail sales, law enforcement, and health and social services are already benefiting from these technologies.

I did some brain altering and tried to input some script information that I found in this forum and think I might have done more damage then good. Could anyone help me or direct me to a programming manual or resource that could get me started on understanding just how it all works and goes together so I can repair and improve it with out doing more damage.

I very much would appreciate any information and direction that I could get. If you have such information available and you don't mind you can e-mail it to me at dellacamera@hush.com

  Thanks
