Me too man, I was looking around but nothing so far. I'll keep up my quest though. Glad you like her Bill.

Bill, the Robin voice from Cepstral is pretty nice and my granddaughters love talking with it. Robin's voice is that
of a 10 year old girl, give or take a year or so.

I think there is another voice called Nellie but I'm not sure
which company makes it (Loquendo, NeoSpeech...etc.)

I took Arts advice and looked at cepstal. Clicked on demo and then on Robin. She does sound like a young girl. Then just for fun I raised the pitch of her voice and she sounded even younger. Don't know the price yet or if it will lip sinc with Hal Characters but if it does I will most likely buy it.
I did notice one thing though and maybe it is just me, but all of the voices seemed to have a slight English accent rather than pure American accent. ???

Great I'm glad you found something that is close to a kid's voice. I made another kid, a boy this time, and later I will be putting him on here (and my website) for your approval. I just wanted to be outside yesterday a little bit, it was 70 finally. Gonna be today too. What all does the demo voice do? Is it very limited?

I sure didn't know that you were going to be into little kid's so much or I would have tried one sooner. Great to have you commenting my friend.

As I promised here is a little boy. I call him slugger just cause of the nickname that my dad used to call me. Not as good as Cassie but still I think he turned out pretty cute, hope you do too.

Mark: I'll think about it

An earthquake (not California)?

Another very cute one, Jack. [8D][8D][8D]

Maybe he'll marry the little girl in twenty years? [:)]

The price should be less than $30 and yes it does lipsync with the Haptek characters just fine.

Go to:http://www.acapela-group.com/
Click near the right side on Demos
Click the scroll down and locate Nelly
She is a TTS voice of a young girl and
the speech is high quality.
Don't know about the price but the voice
is nice.

American accent? Just what IS an American accent? Visit NewYork, New Jersey, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Boston, Mass., Smith's Island, MD., PA, Indiana...They ALL have their own accents (provided that you speak to a native born/raised resident).

Ours is a diverse group of accents from the mixing pot of cultures that happened three and a half centuries ago.

I do know what you mean, Bill and was just having a bit of fun with your statement.

Y'all come back now, ya'hear!

hey GT40 , whats funny about the earthquakes back here in the estern states was , when i lived in california (about 15 years ) people would tell me (and they still say this to others ) "i wouldn't live in california where they have earth quakes !!
all i can say is after my move , thank god i now live in missouri where they have tornado's , hail , high straight winds and of course ... earth quakes now !! lol !!![:)]
