Popular, burning, topic...Jonathan (my oldest) says I should flood it with smilies, he likes smilies.  He has his own forum he likes, I don't think he'd like this forum much. Birds of a feather sort of thing. Adult is as adult does, sort of like chocolate, you never know what you're going to get. Ah revisited, very nice indeed.  I tried this a year ago, but couldn't get it to work, and got lost in other things, congrats on the success, now it's on to 3, 4, or more characters, then the world, Mwahahaha!

I'd like to get the files, but I didn't see them at AI, and the rapidshare had it's hard drive down for repair, maybe I'll try later.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Need some help with Hal 6.0
« on: May 13, 2007, 09:03:40 am »
My guess would be there is still remnants of the old data in the registry and re-installing didn't get rid of them, because it wasn't uninstalled first.  What I would try is making a backup of the download first so you don't lose it.

If you haven't yet contacted Robert, I would try that next.  Explain to him what happened and give him the authorization request code along with the error message, then he can give you an new activation code to get it up and running.  It might take him awhile to get back though, sometimes he's pretty busy.

I hope that Haptek will improve the player so that it can cope with timed use of the /SetReg command which allows you to move the limbs etc.  The problem is that although that command exists the player cannot currently do this as a timed event - that's something you need to do animation.  If this command was supported to do timed events then we could all be animating the characters freely.

Sooo, basically I am currently at a brick wall.

On those project files you mention - it may be worth asking Haptek for them but they may come as part of a commercial package.  They will probably be stock characters and animations, for which you will still need to purchase the appropriate software to modify.  And you would still need to buy some of the Haptek tools to complete a project.

To answer your question concerning figure maker, yes you need that to make new animations.  But as I talked about above there is also the /SetReg command, that alas, is not fully supported as I have found.

I am going to see if Haptek have any answers I think, because I would like to get this application finished if possible.

Freddy, is the /clock switch not able to support the timing for you?  I had used it to set parameters and then call an external hap which contained the individual movements using

clock [t=17] [load [file=walk.hap i0=1]

then I suppose you could continue in that series to load another timed hap with the setreg's etc. and continue ad infinitum...

It's probably in a different section for free will, should we have a funeral?  Is she singing daisy, daisy...does it get slower?  Well, at least she isn't trying to kill you.  Maybe the 3 rules have issues, Asimov is undergoing a revamp @
