Moving/Upgrading Ultra Hal Text-to-Speech Reader
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:20:12 am »
Hello all,

Moving
I just received a new laptop and need to get my copy of Hal installed.  All I own is the Ultra Hal Text-to-Speech Reader, not the full Assistant package.  Is there anything special I need to do to be license-compliant?  The instructions in the FAQs regarding Moving Hal or Deactivating a license don't seem to apply to the Reader.  When I right-click on the Ultra-Hal taskbar icon, there is no "Move/Deactivate License" section.
Do I just uninstall the reader from the old laptop and reinstall on the new one?

Upgrading
How do I download and install upgrades to the product?  The current Help > About in Hal doesn't show version numbers, but the ReadMe file has me at version Version 1.0.4.  When I check the download page and click upgrade, it only presents purchasing options.  Is there no free upgrade path for Hal?

Thanks tons!
