Speech Technology / SUPPORT for Neospeech
« on: December 13, 2006, 04:35:23 pm »
How do I get support for Neospeech that I have purchased? It obviously isn't in this forum or the e-mails I've sent and have still received no response to after TWO WEEKS. The software is not working, pronounces words entirely different from what they are (does "Charlie" sound like "he is not busy"? No!), and does not read dialogue boxes or instant messages when they're checked to do so. I'm about ready to uninstall it and request a refund and buy something that does work and has actual customer support.

Sorry for this note, but by now I think I should have reeceived a reply to my e-mail if nothing else.

Speech Technology / Frustrated
« on: December 07, 2006, 04:25:08 pm »
I'm having several problems with Ultra Hal text-to-speech, one now being that it's telling me it's running AFTER I've closed it. So now it won't run again. I closed it because it wasn't reading dialogue boxes or instant messages. I thought if I reopened it, it would read something, but it won't open because I get a message saying it's already running. It's no way in the system tray, so I don't see how it can be running when I closed it.

I have yet to receive an answer about my previous issues which still exist. The only way it reads anything is it's pasted into the text window. It will not read AIMs or dialogue boxes, and those items are checked. It does not pronounce the name Charlie. In fact, it says "he is not busy." That's ridiculous. And I can't get the pronunciation window open to change anything.

I'd think there'd be better customer support for something that is paid for, such as the Neospeech.

Speech Technology / Neospeech Kate & Paul
« on: November 27, 2006, 06:43:19 pm »
Hello. I'm new to this software. I have registered and just installed the program.

I'm having a problem with it not saying correct words. When the name "Charlie" comes up, Kate or Paul pronouces it as "he is not busy." Why is this happening? On the demo on the website, it pronounced it just fine. I have a friend online named Charlie, and when she sends me an e-mail and signs it, I'd rather hear "Charlie," not "he is not busy." Can someone help? Thanks.

Kim

PS: Yes, as a joke, I tried typing "he is not busy," but it didn't say "Charlie." *smile*
