Of course, I was talking about the lack of value of the Windows built-in help guide that is part of your OS. The Microsoft website remains a source of help that cannot easily be overestimated. I am also in favor of buying the biggest tome you can find about the OS you work with, but then you must have the patience to do some reading when you are stuck.

The last years I keep wondering if Microsoft didn't make XP more complex then was necessary. So my sympathy goes out to all people whose first computer they ever bought had XP on it. [:D]

F1 always works pretty well for starters.

I wonder if there is a member on this board that actually learnt something by consulting "General help for Windows"?

She probably meant dragging the skin to the "Haptek debug console" while Hal is active.

I like her, plus I heard that red haired chicks are really wild.
Tell us about what happened to her right eye. [;)]

Yes, nobody seems able to solve that problem!
If you are running out of account upload space, perhaps you should just make a new account at this forum and start using that one. [:)]

Yes, really odd. Thanks again for the warning, folks.
I am beginning to think our forum was born under a bad star.

The moderators of DG-forum are all still suffering from a hangover due to negotiations with Haptek. That's why things are going so slow there. Stay tuned! [B)]

Speech Technology / Text to Speech Reader has problems creating .wav

Citrinedragon,

The problem you describe is in fact very well-known and extensively discussed in the "Speech Technology"-section of this forum. Nevertheless, the solution you bring up is new to me. [:)]
