Ultra Hal 7.0 / THE DOWNLOADED FULL VERSION IS BETTER THAN THE CD

I BOUGHT THE FULL VERSION A FEW WEEKS AGO, AND I FIND THAT THE VOICES ARE MUCH BETTER FROM THE DOWNLOAD THAN FROM THE CD, ALSO THERE WERE EVIDENTLY A FEW EXTRA VOICES ON THE DOWNLOAD THAT WERE NOT INCLUDES ON THE CD. I ONLY NEED ONE VOICE, AND THE ONES TO CHOOSE FROM ARE PRETTY LOUSY. THE FULL BODY MIKE, HAS YET TO SPEAK.
 I RESOLVED THE BALLONS ISSUE... EVIDENTLY, I HAD AN ADVERTISEMENT/ DEMO THAT WAS ON THE DISK, AND WAS RUNNING WHEN THE HAL PROGRAM OPENED..

MY NEW QUESTIONS ARE: WITH THE DOWNLOAD VERSION, BY DEFAULT, THE HAL PROGRAM SAVED TO WINDOWS /SYSTEM.. AND WITH THE CD VERSION, BY DEFAULT, THE HAL PROGRAM SAVED TO PROGRAM FILES.....IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN OPERATION IN WHERE THE PROGRAM IS LOCATED?

I TOO HAVE PROBLEMS TELLING HAL TO EMAIL SOMEONE. MY AOL PROGRAM IS SET AS THE DEFAULT INTERNET CONNECTION, AND DEAFULT EMAIL APPLICATION.

I RECENTLY FORMATTED THE ENTIRE DRIVE, LOOSING THE DOWNLOADED VERSION, WHICH I THINK IS A BETTER PACKAGE. IN ADDITION TO MY FORMATTING, I INSTALLED WINDOWS XP. THE CHARACTERS SUCH AS GENIE ARE ABLE TO BE BROUGHT OUT OF THE VIEW WINDOW, AND ENLARGED. SO FAR THE GRAPHICS HAVE IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO CHOOSE DIFFERENT VOICES, CAN MORE BE DOWNLOADED? IF SO, HOW ARE THEY INCORPORATED INTO THE HAL PROGRAM?

Ultra Hal 7.0 / BALLOONS DANG 'OL BALLOONS

HOW DO I RID MY HAL PROGRAM OF THOSE BLASTED RIDICULOUS, AND UNNECCESSARY DIALOG BALLOONS THAT THE CHARACTERS GENIE, AND MERLIN ETC.. USE?  WHY DO THEY NEED THEM? THERE IS ALREADY A TEXT WINDOW FOR THEIR SPEECH. I GET ANNOYED WHEN THE CHARACTERS SPELL MY NAME.  AND I RECENTLY FORMATTED MY DRIVE TO ACCOMODATE THE PROGAM, THE DOWNLOAD VERSION HAD MORE VOICES, AND FAR SUPERIOR VOICES THEN THE CD VERSION, WHY IS THIS?
I AM TO SAY THE LEAST, DIS APPOINTED, BUT AS THEY SAY "CAVIET EMPTOR".

Ultra Hal 7.0 / INTERESTING OCCURENCES

I HAVE A BUDDY THAT HAPPENS TO WORK FOR THE PHONE CO., AND WHEN I TELL "HAL" THAT MY FRIEND, TRIGGER, WORKS FOR THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE CO., "HAL" IMMEDIATELY STARTS DIALING  MY FRIENDS HOME PHONE NUMBER...A LITTLE ANNOYING AT WORST....

I RELOADED THE PROGRAM ONCE, AND THE "GENIE" CHARACTER COULD BE ENLARGED TO 250%, AND EVEN LEFT  THE SKIN WINDOW, HE WAS AMAZING TO WATCH ON THE DESKTOP, BUT ALAS  THE PHONE RANG, AND THE ANSWERING MACHINE RECORDED A MESSAGE, AND AS SOON AS I PLAYED THE MESSAGE BACK, "HAL" CRASHED, AND I LOST THE ABILITY TO RESIZE THE GENIE CHARACTER......

EVERYTIME I START "HAL" I GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:   "ERROR LOADING AGENT/ CHARACTER   -2147417843-9: AN OUTGOING CALL CAN NOT BE MADE SINCE THE APPLICATION IS DISPATCHING AN INPUT SYNCHRONOUS CALL".... AL THIS SH&T IS WAY OVER MY HEAD, I AM BUT A CONSTRUCTION WORKER.....

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.... I KNOW, WHEN THE CD ARRIVES, RE- LOAD. DEFRAG OFTEN, RUN DISK FIXER, AND RUN A REGISTRY FIXER OFTEN....

Ultra Hal 7.0 / cartoon characters

i bought the full version last night, and 7 hours later i only have about 3 or 4 glitches....

 the genie and merlin characters, for instance, talk in balloons, and when they say my name they spell it ( t   h   o   m   a    s   )very annoying....

the "sam" character has poor graphics, either corrupted from download or other?

 the full body "mike" character will not speak.....

i have a free talking clock program that uses merlin and genie for instance, and if i use genie for instance for "hal", when the clock announces the time, the "hal" character genie etc. relocates to the default positon, uusually, out of the "hal" skin. and when he is finished announcing the time, the character disappears, leaving a blank "hal" skin....

also, i have been unable to open my aol program  trhough the "hal" program. when i try to it opens my aol system information dialog. i have been able to open solitaire,it's about all i have tried, other than word, which will open fine....

Ultra Hal 7.0 / I HAVE THE FREE VERSION/considering purchase

i feel like the demo is somewhat worthy, it is slow to learn, but it can be fun to experiment. i have read the posts, and it seems that customer service is somewhat lacking. i am afraid i will order the cd and get nothing that works.

    in the mean time i have a question: when will "they" come up with a program that answers the phone? i mean more than  an answering machine that only records messages, but a device that will redirect your call, through an intelligent conversation....i.e. the phone rings, hal picks up, says"hello" the caller asks for tom, hal responds with tom is at work today... or tom is at the doctor's today, would you like to have that number? or leave tom a message here. or tom is at john's house, would you like the number to john's house etc....

    i know we a years away from computers , as we have often become familiar with in the movies and television, but it should be possible to have the learning level of a 3- 5 year old. atleast a child of that age is able to sing to you or tell you a joke. even a child can tell you where you live, or where aunt mary lives.  i am having second thouhts all the time.....

    i notice that the demo, is what 11 mb ? or so.... and the full version is about 105 mb,, what in god's name do you get with 105 mega bytes? what's it do? time travel for you, to send messages to your dead girlfriend, back in high school?    i have a talking clock character that works better than the assistant demo...
