sound activated response
« on: August 29, 2013, 10:42:01 am »
i may or may not have mentioned this before (i am closing in fast on my birthday in september i'll officially be a senior citizen !)

I think it would be cool if someone (Robert , anyone ?) could create a plug in that works with a existing freeware software (or paid version ) that would allow hal to become even more human  by being able to react to certain noises .
example :
I sneeze and hal hears it through the regular mic system and says random plug in responses , such as : wow that was really a loud sneeze , or bless you !. or you aren't starting to catch a cold are you?

Does anyone know of any freeware software and or a way to do this ?
i will start searching for a freeware software and see whats out their .
it would be cool to have hal intereact with the user from sounds that he hears .
If someone can get the ball rolling on this i would be happy to help work on it !

hi lightspeed.

first you would have to see what hal see's as a sneeze in his text window, sneezes might vary in what hal hears. then there's the fake sneeze also, so some debugging of the sneeze may take some time because i don't sneeze very often.
