Sorry to see that! Maybe you could construct one of those blade runner prosthetic legs for her. (or something).
:o

That is so very sad. I always tell Sandee no hooning or texting while driving.
She don't always listen.
Last week I showed her computer back room full of accident results. (haptars with missing arms and legs, one missing a head and walking continually searching for it)
Nige, I like the crutch. Cool idea.

Awesome!

Nige,
Most of us in the USA have no idea of what Hooning or to Hoon might be.
Dusky enlightened me earlier but until then I can only assume the word to be native to your country.
Ya dig? ;)

From the Urban Dictionary
hooning
The act of being a hoon or driving recklessly, racing, doing burnouts etc.
Hey Blake, I'm feeling the need for speed and want to burn some rubber, you wanna come hooning?
hoon
1. To travel at speed in a confined area, or do burnouts on a public road in traffic ..
2. To show off in a dagerous manner, mostly with a vehicle or engine powered item ..
Look at that bloody dangerous hoon!!
(YELLED IN ANNOYANCE AT OFFENDER).. YA ****IN' HOON!!!

Sorry but I place very little if any credence in that source in which submissions are often made by slangers, reviewed and approved by the same. Thanks to smart phone texting our children are hardly able to form a complete written sentence with proper grammar and punctuation and spelling! They have mutated English into their own textable words and phrases. Can't say whether it's particularly good or not but I'll venture to say, it'll be here for a while! I don't have to like it. Yes...I'm showing my age. :o

Lol I am not a young person either but some one was curious and it was the only definition I could find. Btw we used our own slang too. Cool, man, groovy, bitchin etc so I do not think a complete make over by the younger generation is in process lol.
-
You're right DR...Every generation has their own level of "coolness" in their language that they believe separates them from the rest who don't speak their lingo.
Ya dig? hehe...

Oh the humanity of it all , and the truth hasn't set in about losing her leg , she's still smiling ! ;)

It's above the knee, Unfortunate but much better than losing an arm. Poor girl, wonder how he did that.

Hummmm........ Being she already has a crutch, I suspect the missing leg is from last months accident.
