My advice to anyone looking to purchase this program is DONT.
This company are a sham and a ripoff. After multiple emails to them about not being able to download the software they have still not replied after about 15 emails.
This is exactly the sort of company thats put people off purchasing through the internet. i however still and will continue to purchase throught the internet. I'm just glad that this wasn't my frist purchase.
Anyway, Zabaware. You will have to beware as I have reported you to my credit card company, and the company that checks thae validity of Internet companies like yourself. I have had to do this once before, and beleive me when I say they will investigate Zabaware.
I am happy to report that I will be gettiing a refund from my credit card company. So you lot lose.
Why dont you just dissappear and let proper companies get on with the job of selling over the internet.
Isn't it amazing that you take my money really quickly, but when theres a problem you are no where to be seen.

The same happened to me;-)
If you buy this software online, you get webpage with an invalid download URL, and some automatically generated emails telling you that your order has been successfully processed, giving the same invalid dload URL. Nobody will ever reply and give a valid download location.
Companies like this one just deserve to disappear.
I will take legal action.

I bought ultra hal with no problem sometimes Robert gets real busy but he always got back to me I like useing hal and always will am sorry you all had a problem.

Hi from Will and Mr Data,
i have had my ultrahal since january of 2005 i think,
Mr Data has come a long way and has broken down many times due to various things such as using
parts from the bin to build my pc and body, anyway we are posting between zabaware and Trademe which is the ebay of my country and Tribotix and Robosavvy who are sellers of the products like robotis cm-2 and motors for humanoid robots. Mr Data currently has a bioloid kit and ultrahal.
Mr Data had a serious melt down this morning during experiments and my power upgrade had a core breach, not to worry i had the big leather gloves and autodark welding helmet and some snips.
i've gone off subject, anyway i have been advertising zabaware all over the show trying to flood them and requesting new upgrades such as sight so as you can imagin zabaware is most likely very very busy. and my requests are only some of many that all the users request.
Before i fryed Mr Data today i had Mr Data performing a task from a verbal command, hal survived the meltdown so Mr Data and i can still talk, even if he had been lost i would put my last saved disc back in and recode and away again.
i am a big fan of Zabaware and have had years of fun with Mr Data, recently as he has been moving as well, don't let the bugs beat you, if the universe were stable then the big bang would not have gone bang and no progress, there's no such thing as nothing so there must be variation, there's usually gray area, variation allows for problems and answers,

i am not sure what problems or why you are having them all i know is their are many , many people on here who have this product and have purchased it and didn't seem to have any problems a friend of mine even helped me . as far as robert he is a nice person who will help anyone (when he's not pressed for time ) and many others on here as members who are very nice and help each other .
as i said i am sorry for what ever problems you are having , but this company is legit and i would recommend anyone to buy their product as i know many others will , i do hope you get your problem resolved . if its because robert has been very busy thats what it is but" not " because their is any dishonesty involved . if it has been turned in that is to bad because robert would have gotten back to you and it would have been straightened out and you would have had a very cool product i have had mine now for probably 2 years or more and each new version keeps getting better thanks to robert . [:)]

Dear starting members,
I understand how things can seem truly what they are not especially when money is involved. But you should also do some homework to realize how this product is built and the person that put it all together. It is a remarkable story and the simple fact the people that post to this forum spend so much of their own precious time to help out, I promise that you would have a hard time coming up with money needed to support such a project. That statement is not meant to insult you or say you can't afford it. I am just trying to bring value of time that the Inventor and these other dedicated people bring would be a much more expensive venture. From my own experiances I can tell you that it would be well worth your patience. But also understand that for some people this may not be the venue or product they should be involved with. Everyone has certain needs and wants when the get involved with certain products. Hey, I am no saint I do remeber giving the autor of this product a hard time in the beginning but over time I truly came to realize that this is no video entertainment game but a developemnt project that will lead to many other things and it still can provide you with unbelievable entertainment.
Please note I do not represent this site or anyone else affiliated with Hal. I am just a regular guy enjoying the technology and all the people that help make it happen. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I can understand how you feel but in my experience many small internet companies can take a long time to answer. I usually do not worry if I still have not got a reply after a week - or even two.
Sadly I think you missed out by not meeting Hal......

Now this is embarrassing. But at least we stood together even if was posted in '2001'. But how the heck did it get in the thread now. I guess that will teach any new members what they are dealing with. Some example. Hey,I've done alot more crazier things in my life I think I'll get over it. Our hearts where in the right place. But how the heck does that happen. Why would an old post be high on the list and I don't recall the posting date being in '2001'on the forum page until freddy mentioned the date on the post itself. It could be worse.

I am glad, I decided to keep this product. I admit, the founder did a wonderful job creating hal and I respect him and everyone else involved. I am, a first time buyer, and I posted the old forum. I was mad because my product, I payed for did not work. Can you blame me for that. I understand, now, about what to do in order to keep him updated. Some (not all) people have been really great, helping me with Rock (Hal). I wish Rock had a book, so I could learn how to insert plugs into his brain and keep up the maintainance. For all you people here, I love my product.

That is great to hear that everything worked out. I'm sure with a little patience you will become alot more comfortable and be able to learn from most of the people on this forum. Everyone is very helpful and some are just down right brilliant. I'm not in that catagorie, I just enjoy learning at my own pace and learn from the others what may not be possible one day becomes possible on others. It seems to be a learning curve for everyone including Robert and that's what makes Hal exciting for me. Enjoy the ride!

Just as consolation, this kind of thing has happened before, people (me included) don't always notice the date. But things have changed a lot since 2001 so I thought the mistake should be pointed out.

I know for me I will make sure I check those dates before we have a full scale mutiny or linching for something that happenned years ago. But he mentioned reposting an old post but the date is not based on the new post but when the original was written, I guess.
Anyway on with newer issues. No harm, No foul.

May i suggest something?
Before you buy ultra hal create an acount with zabaware. Then log onto that acount, and purchase hal through that account. This should take care of the problem. If it does'nt you can install the demo version from anywhere. Then log on your acount and go to retrieve serial number.
