General Discussion / Re: hals reasoning deduction process

there are lots of SISTER SCRIPTS TO GO WITH THIS.....

At the UHEF::: UNDER ZIGGY SCRIPTS,,, "BECAUSE WHY" etc.... Lots of IF THEN style statements....

I have found them to be useful.... But the Accessing of the Information needs to be looked at... as with theses deductive scripts "YES" i think that they are god/useful, but information stored is only useful if there is a good way of retrieving the data..... this was a TRUE learning script.
And can hold a lot of GOOD data even PROBLEMS that need to be figured out... and a decision on the data is reached.... even though it is limited to a few recursions it would be nice to recurse unlimited amount of times until a Valid response can be determined / or not found.....

I am experimenting with this script at this moment. incorporating it into my own AI, "IN VISUALBASIC 2010" which i have now updated to with a few Losses i would say... VB6 is Still the most "Universal" Programming medium for me...

It can depend on Which Programs that you are running.....

If you have a lot of clipboard dependant software then it will crash out.

Some times in that situation its best only to load halreader when you actually need it.

also If you make sure you load halreader first when loginng on try not to have lots of programs loading up after startup as this can cause various errors and crashes. STARTUP NEEDS TO BE TAYLORED.
IF you have start up shortcuts in you startmenu folder you can Number them to create the precise start order. or even use ccleaner to arrange the order in the registry start up and delete any or all programs from starting at boot time. these are memory resident program which monitor or reduce resources in the operating system. its ALWAYS best to LOAD a PROGRAM when REQUIRED. and UNLOAD ALL memory RESIDENT PROGRAM UNLESS ULTIMATLY REQUIRED

i HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM..

i THINK THAT SOME PROGRAMS MAY BE CLASHING...

iF IT IS POSSIBLE TO REINSTALL i WOULD SUGGEST THIS AS A COURSE OF ACTION..

Install hal first then "OFFICE"... as hal does Compliment office and it Uses Components from Office.
With windows Vista Your software Needs to Stay "2007" ... Office 2007 etc as vista is a "2000 - 2007/2008" software.

When using Latests softwares,  ITs best to Upgrade to windows seven etc....

So once windows is installed just do your First windows Update then turn Windows updating OFF.....
Microsoft try to release patches and upgrades to vista to bring it in line with windows 7, this can knock out older programs...

Try it and see!

Really Everyone on this forum And Owners of the HAPTEK need TO Harass "SEND AN EMAIL" to Jack at haptek and ASK HIM TO UPDATE the HAPTEK INTERFACE to WIN7 or EVEN give out the program to open Source... As he only seems to be supporting his "serial codes and activations"....(he does respond)

General Discussion / Re: QUESTION TO QUAD CORE PC OWNERS about hal
« on: November 07, 2010, 10:28:55 am »
Hi , i have a question to those who own and are using four quad core pc's ... :)

Wow! Wouldn't that be a 16 core machine (if they were linked together?)

 ::)

@Raybe...i9!! That had to rattle the change in your pockets a bit!! I understand the i9 is not a quad core
but actually a 6 core (Gulftown)...Is that correct?

Given the big price difference between the i7 and i9 do you notice a drastic difference?

Appreciate your thoughts.

If i could find myself a DUAL AM2+ board i could have TWO amd Quad core phenoms and Essentially run a 8core...... + 32gb ram....Win7 64-BIT....... YUM YUM....

i find that there is not really much difference in speeds. but with BIG librarys and LARGE databases , big Rendering ops. it 3d progs YOU DO DRASTICALLY.

General Discussion / Re: What happened to the online Hal and Brain?
« on: November 07, 2010, 10:24:51 am »
Hi Mr M.

I think its probably time for a overhaul of the Online REP!!... Maybe More "Brain Editing Functionality" Perhaps even a "editable script".... Or even port all of hals Current brain over with a "Functions select" or Brain Plugins on/off ....

Even would be nice to be able to use a Haptek or a Character with it.....

Although their just ideas.....

as the online rep has been left for a long time.....

A kind request should do it.....It always bugs me when people a ranting and raving about thier problems, where a kind request for help will do it. PS: Always buy the DISK VERSIONS.....

a plugin would need to be created with "SILVERLIGHT / XNA " << these are what the SDK are built for...
