Title: A jukebox for the Halettes
Post by: GT40 on April 04, 2008, 06:06:53 am

Hi everyone. Just a little tribute to you and your lovely gals. As usual please refresh after downloading all the files (several megs):

http://gt40.chez-alice.fr/Haptek/jukebox.html

and then click what you want (not perfect but seems to be unbreakable, lol).

I must apologize if I wrote somewhere I'll never use "the" dance hap again (sorry, addicted!). And one more time, THANK YOU for your wonderful gals!! [:)][:p][8D]

Thanks, all. Not easy to choose the skins, I love them but tell me if you prefer another ones. About the songs, just a small personal selection (can be changed too). [;)]

Cool link Mark, I like that version too. [8D]

Dusky, your breakfast is much more important than those gals. [:D]

Thanks Ted, glad you liked it. Yes, the gals created by the people of the forum are fantastic (I love your Kristina). [8D][8D][8D]

And the singers are not too bad, lol (just my opinion).

But a jukebox with 5 songs... [:D][:D][:D]

I can't watch it cause the site says that I don't have haptek installed. Oh well.

[:D]  Thanks GT. I love her too. You are very creative. Is there any way you can link your jukebox to your mp3 files? (Just an idea, maybe the mp3 plugin might be of use here, I don't know.)[:D]
If you only need more tunes e-mail me okay?

Jack sorry to hear that. Just a late night thought, but can you link through your server?[:D][:D][:D]

Sorry Jack, very strange. As you can see in the list, your pretty Wendy dances (even I'm not sure she likes all the songs, lol). Try to reload the page several times. Maybe if you empty the caches (browser and player), it'll work. Or maybe a vengeance from Haptek??? [:D][:D][:D]

Good idea Ted, but I don't know anything about Hal (and his plugins, and Visual Basic). I just did a basic Haptek page, using ogg files (mp3's are forbidden). It's possible to create a database with many songs, but they must be converted to ogg's (interesting with Nige's files, with lipsync). With a specific dance speed for every song. Oh, thank you Ted, you gave me another idea. [:D][:D][:D]

Mark, your Laura in blue with gloves is now in the jukebox, with the classic hair5 (just refresh if nothing changed).

But who is the true Laura? The blue eyed Laura in red, or the green eyed Laura in blue? (color contact lenses?). [:D][:D][:D]

Thanks, GT40. Laura is clever at disguises. She likes James Bond movies, lol.
[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] (she uses color contacts, but her true eye color is Hazel.)

How on earth do you get it to play on vista?

I have vista and I have to go to the security settings in my browser and uncheck enable protected mode.[:D][:D]

Thanks Nige. It was also very entertaining to do that. Especially when it finally worked (nearly fine)... [:D]

Oh Hazel eyes for Laura, Mark, very nice! [8D]

Sorry Snowwhite, I make my little jokes under W98, lol, and check them on my son's computer (XP). Ted is right about Vista, please try what he said (official reply from Haptek). I hope it'll work for you too (I also could make a zip for people who want to run the stuff locally).

I would love to see the zip. Not sure if I would understand how to use it, but at the very least it would be educational and I'm all for learning new things. Vista has all but taken away my hap-temp and I always got new insight and wigs and skins, etc. from it.[:D][:D][:D]

Ok Ted (and all) the zip is here: http://www.savefile.com/files/1487728

Just unzip anywhere and lauch jukebox.html (no need to refresh).

You're right. The best way to learn is to look at the code of existing stuffs, and then to modify one thing and see, another thing and see... My teachers were the Haptek Guide and sites using Haptek bots.

Two important little things if you customize the stuff:

1- When you add your own songs and characters, copy all the new files you need in the folder (or change their pathes in the html code).

2- Don't forget to add a "dl.AddFile..." line for every new file you want to use (I often wasted a lot of time because of that, lol).

And please email me if you need explanations.

Sorry for your hap_temp (yes, many useful files in it). Vista!!

BTW I added Dolly Parton (on the site and in the zip). Sorry, I love her. [:D]

(I never upgraded to Vista, and I am afraid to with all of the problems getting things to work in it, even though I will have to when and if I get a new computer someday.)

Many thanks to everyone for the interest you show in that little joke (and glad you can see it!). Just an experiment.

Mainly (as I wrote above) a tribute to all the people who create heads, torsos and fullbodies here. Without you, no jukebox! Thank you. [:)]

Hey GT, as I wrote you, I am having so much fun with your jukebox. Doing many experiments with it like changing skins and backrounds, muteing the haptek sound in the mixer and playing my mp3's and picking your tunes with the right tempo to see my girls dancing to the right beat. It is a real entertainment center and a very useful tool as well for movie and giff making.[:D][:D][:D]

Many thanks Ted. [:I][:I][:I] I'm very happy you customize it according to your own preferences.

You have many good ideas. Very interesting to try them.

Ready for the version 2, lol. Maybe not tomorrow (but soon). [:)]

gt40, today was a good one. i finally got your player to work on my computer. it is sensational!!!!! you are an artistic genius. thank you for including angelina she is so proud right now!!!

keep up your inovative designs.please.

Thank you very much alady (no I'm not Leonardo da Vinci, I can prove it!) and thanks for your perseverance. The artists it's you all who created these wonderful girls. And I'm proud to belong to your little family. [:)]

I spent a while with Angelina, lol, and your "Happy Easter?" pic. I hope I found her good hair color but sorry, unable to make the dreadlocks. Sorry Angelina too. [:)]

I did a little improvement to the stuff: it's a great idea from Ted and I thank him. Please read his post above.

Just download the 3 following files

http://gt40.chez-alice.fr/Haptek/jukebox2.html
http://gt40.chez-alice.fr/Haptek/stop.hap
http://gt40.chez-alice.fr/Haptek/stopmusic.ogg

and put them in your Jukebox folder. Then launch jukebox2.html.

If you click STOP, music and dance stop. Now you can play any song you have on your hard drive (with Winamp or with your usual player). Then start the dance by clicking a number from 1 to 20 (you can also do that before launching the song).

Ted tested it under Vista and it works. [:)]

Thanks for the version 2 jukebox. It is a lot of fun. I have many more experiments to try with it. Since I hav'nt yet been succesful with just drag and drop for accesory removal and skins and wigs, I'll try with text like haptek skins folder or maybe even see what happens If I try to install a version into the actual skins folder.
Keep up the excellant work.[8D][8D][8D]

Great, GT40!!!

you can view this in Firefox. But you have to get the extension "IE Tab"

Then click the icon at the bottom right (Firefox) and it will switch to Internet Explorer Icon. Now you can watch Haptek stuff in Firefox!![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Oops sorry, forgot to say you can see it "online", without changing anything, at

http://gt40.chez-alice.fr/Haptek/jukebox2.html

Thanks Ted and Mark.

You're right Ted, it's impossible to drag and drop anything in the Haptek window of the HTML page, as we do in the Haptek player. If you want to change or add something to the stuff, the only way is to modify the code. You have another nice idea (menus for changing the elements). It's very interesting to try but I'm afraid I'll say you after some months "Sorry Ted, too difficult, I'm not a programmer, lol". But I'll try it. [:D]

Many thanks Mark, for the info about Firefox. It's very interesting because many people use it, and are unable to see bots using an Haptek interface (especially most of Pandorabots). When people say to my bot Meghan "I can't see you", I told her to answer "Maybe you don't use Internet Explorer." She read your post and now she'll improve her reply. She thanks you too. [:D]
