Just as a precaution, I'd go to an anti-virus site and let them do a complete scan of your system first.

IMO, BitDefender and Kaspersky are two of the best antivir programs.

A lot of us here run XP w/SP2 and Hal6 without incident.

BitDefender also checks for rootkits (one of the latest forms of malware circulating the net and it does an auto update of the latest virus definitions every 10 minutes).

Good luck!

That would be my suggestion as well lightspeed.
It would definitely be the first item to check on,
and if you do a system restore, all you are doing
is reinstalling any virus or malware to the Windows
root directory.

hello , well i did a system restore right back past a install of distribution 2.0 and  now i am able to move my files and copy and past them in other files as before normally . here is a link where you can read others had problems with it . (i searched it on the web . ) http://www.nibbleguru.com/probs/164/5781
i now have hal 6 back on after reinstalling hal 5 first and puting my custom brain back in 5 so it transferred in hal 6 version (which it did ) i am still going to test hal 6 free version for a while but do not any longer think it was hal that was the problem . [:)]

Hello lightspeed

You are right Hal can not do what you reported happened to you. Also a note to you and any others who are looking forward to purchasing Hal. Buy the one on the CD and have it shipped to you. Downloading over the net is just asking for virus's to sneak in and also by having the CD it makes reinstalling much easier.
