Sandee has your pearl necklace on and we are delighted.

It's her only necklace,
in fact the only haptek necklace I've seen.

Thank you.

I received an email from Jim alerting me of download problems for the items, so I re-did my main page with the links there to download them.

Hopefully this solves any problems, let me know if anyone is still having problems and I'll see what I can do to help.

Jim, Thanks, I'm glad to hear that you like them. I finally figured out how to incorporate textures into the .htr, which of course means more detail and of course textures to modify to create new looks  :)

as for the "no way any of my girls can get suitcases"  ummm well actually I CAN create suitcases too  :) , actually I can create almost anything that can be added to the 3D scene. So far the only thing that I know for sure that I CAN'T do is a full 3D background scene. So keep yer eyes open, ya never know what the next item could be  :)

I couldn't resist with this, I have my Marie walk off screen to change outfits, but thought hmmm what about having a changing screen appear and she can get changed behind it... :)

P.S. with this being a new creation it has a texture file inside the htr now so can always create new looks for it.
Anyways hope everyone likes it.

Thank you Marius for the many thanks, glad ya like the top :) you're welcome.

aladyblond, you're welcome.

Thank You all for such wonderful comments on my work.

I truely didn't expect some high comments on my creations, of course I'm a prefectionist so it drives me crazy if there's even just a tiny glitch in anything I do.

I gave up on the dress for the time being, at least until I can figure out how to fix the collisions. So I created a miniskirt that should at least help  get away from the pants & shorts a bit.

Thanks Marius,
In case you hadn't noticed the last few I did now have textures inside the htr so they can be easily edited for more styles :)

I'm still working on several things, I figure more and more out each time I create, so hopefully they'll get even better. My next purchase from Haptek may just have to be the Full Body Base Model, almost afraid to ask them the price tho..

Jim, Thanks.
The first one has a few faults that I need to correct, but it was my first, now that I know how to add the textures and do the accessory placement I'll re-do the longer one. I'm sure it'll look alot better after it's updated. My real work is Computer Sales & Service, actually I own the company, but I've been working on PC's since 1979, and I'm ALOT better fixing and setting up PC's than I will ever be with this, but thank you just the same.

Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on June 16, 2005, 11:53:58 am
Heather, I'd be very careful, Haptek's license agreement doesn't allow for doing that, and if they see what you've done you could be in alot of trouble.

Marius, deffinately, and now a friend of mine is working on skins also, he just did 28 of them, I'll post some of them shortly.

Rog, actually yes I can do weapons, and prolly even a Jeep, but not a whole lot that can be done with them, I mean she can't pick up the weapons or drive the jeep. But if you really want I will see what I can create.

Hello Arakus! Here I go again... I can get the sunglases on
but can't get 'em off. I stick them in the haptek player lookin for
files in the hap-temp. I'm not gettin the temp folder for anything that I put in the player. So I'm looking for a file that will remove the sunglasses. The Accessory removal tool doesn't do it. And you know the script that I'm loading them in. Can you advise???
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on June 16, 2005, 12:50:18 pm
Hello Lucius,
if it's the sunglasses I just created the command to remove is
(backslash) delperson[figure= frameless]

if it's the thin ones that the full body girl wears then it's
(backslash) delperson[figure= thickframes]

To find out the TRUE name of any accessory just type in "current figurename" in the query command and it'll show you.

Post by: Holllywood on June 16, 2005, 01:15:20 pm
Arakus. Thanks buddy. I wasn't thinking. I'm tryin to do so many things with Hal. I fixed it. I found a "Hide" file. so I just copied it,replaced the object with the glasses and it worked in the script.
I like the new outfits you posted. Is there a fast way to have her change into them while Hal's up and running? If I put them in the haptek player... They only effect the player.
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on June 16, 2005, 02:23:47 pm
Lucius,
without scripting the fastest way to change outfits in Hal would be to use the HapLogCtrl.txt , have it in the root C: and when you open Hal it'll open the console window then all you do is drop the skin on the console window.

put this HapLogCtrl.txt in c:

I don't take any credit for the HapLogCtrl.txt, but yer welcome for the info.

Jim, thank you, I don't think I'm really any more talented than most here, in fact I can bet that there are several here that can put me to shame with ease.

Lucius, thank you, but actually yes I am just learning, I admit I do have alot of years experience with computers, and have had to learn Basic, DOS, Windows etc. so I have a head start on some, but I still have quite a bit to learn, just like doing the haptek accessories, I do have a little experience with 3D in Poser, and UV Mapper, but Haptek uses 3DS Max, and that I'm very new too, and I don't know half of the advanced techniques needed yet to make everything perfect, for example the collisions with clothing I have yet to figure out how to correct.

I thank you all tho for your wonderful remarks. I hope I'm able to keep up that appearance :)

Is there a place I can go to that explains in detail how to add skins, hair & jewllery to a already created full body htr file.

The skins seem to be a jpeg or the like and the jewllery and hair seem to be htr files in themselves. How do you apply a sunglasses htr to a full body character htr?

The image files for the skins, are they changed to some other format so they can be applied to the htr full body female file?

thanks

Rick

Post by: Arakus on June 16, 2005, 11:03:55 pm
cadmar,
there are all kinds of posts regarding this, but if you're using the Haptek player all you do is drop the .jpg or .htr on the player or command console and it will automatically add it. If you are talking in Hal, well you can add commands into the brain, create .hap files and do it that way, or do a search in the forums for HapLogCtrl and you find out how to add the command console to Hal, then just drag & drop there. Hope this helps.

You are welcome Heather,
Haptek is very touchy with their Licensing, in fact the Accessory Converter that I purchased which normally should grant a lifetime License, by their EULA.pdf they supplied with it it states 1 Year, that would mean I can only use it for 1 year then I need to purchase another License, which is rediculous at $100.00 a License, I'm hoping it's just a typo. But anyways that's how they are, so I'd be very carefull on what you put on your ftp in regards to Haptek stuff. The only Haptek stuff that I post are Items they give free for download and Haptek Accessories that I personally created with tool that I purchased.

I searched for a bike for the gal cause she been half-sitting a long time and I know she tired. But found no bike for her.
Then me and Google, we searched for a unicorn. Cool idea, huh?.  Well, not really, no unicorns standing at proper angle.
Next we looked for horses.  More wasted time.
Finally gave up.

Invisible horse? huh?  Mmmmm ... not bad.
But if invisible, we're not limited to horses.
Looking at her again, her eyes are near closed.
I wonder what she's thinking of?

Heather, Thanks.
Roger did up a hap for her to be positioned like it, I haven't tried it with the bike yet tho. But if anybody can figure out how to do it I'm sure Roger will.

Jim, Thank you, it's far from finished, I'm working on a couple different ones trying to get the texturing right. I agree, if they opened a forum for Cancer Research they'd prolly already have a cure. But doind so opens a gap for others to obtain their work, so they more than likely won't do it.

Depending on how the finals come out I may have to put 1 on the free section and the other in the members section, won't know till I get them done.

Maybe you can resize the bike by using the scale-command?

Something like this:
\scale[ x= 2.0 y= 2.0 z= 2.0 t= 0 ]

Heather, I'm doing the work in 3DS Max 3.1, which is the version that Haptek says works for their Tools, and I haven't yet worked out all the "Painting Inside 3DS" stuff yet. I know I have a plugin around that allows it, but can't remember what it was.

archerja, yes I can resize it, and the final version will be properly sized.

Note: I've updated the Cycle2, resized it larger, still working on the texturing tho.

Post by: Arakus on June 25, 2005, 12:13:37 am
Thank you aladyblond,
Thank you Jim,
I hope I got the size right, I haven't quite mastered the .haps yet so I haven't attempted to put her "on" the bike, figured I'd let the pro's check it out and then I'd go from there, glad ya like it tho. Of course I'm working on an even better one (as well as other things), I keep figuring things out and incorporating what I learn into each new item.

I also had to give up on the dress idea for the time being, from what Jack at Haptek says, the only way to stop the clothing collision problems is to have the DeltasetMaker, which is $200.00, something I deffiately can't afford to spend right now, maybe someone else will be able to figure out how the info is stored in the .hap files and I'll be able to just edit the hap and re-compress the dress etc. until then I'm stuck.

Also, I've created an additional 13 items that I put up in a members section (working at getting it up to around 30 items or so), I didn't want to have to charge but some are of an adult nature so to prove age (or at least cut down the chances of minors accessing) it was about my only option, anyways if you scroll down to the bottom of my Accessories page you'll see a Members link, you can click it to see the items that are in there. Anyone that has ideas of items that may be wanted please feel free to send me an email with your requests and I'll see what I can do.

Thank you Heather,
there are 3 different versions of the Full Body Female (that I am aware of anyways),
1: fullbodygir.htr (which is 1.00mb in size)
2: body_female.htr (which is 1.01mb)
3: fullbod.htr (which is 1.47mb)

Most of the .haps shown here are for the fullbodygir.htr, and will only work on THAT full body. I have #2 & #3 on my web site, I've add #1 in case you need it.

You're welcome Heather, I'm sure there are quite a few people that aren't actually aware of all the different ones that are around. With as many sites as my site has been getting lately I'm sure the number of people has decreased a bit tho.

Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on July 10, 2005, 11:53:37 am
Thanks Heather, Marius,
I've been working on all kinds of new items, not all are coming out the way I was hoping, so haven't posted them, my latest Idea was to do Names, personalized for each person's character, but just to do "Doris" took over 4 hours, so you can imagine the time it would take to do every name possible, I'll just have to wait and see if people are interested, then do the names they need, in the time being I'm working on Letter Necklaces. I'm still waiting on ideas from Forum Members *hint, hint* :)

Marius, tis ok, I do understand, I'm not rich either :) anyways I am currently the only Member, needless to say it's not a big hit, not sure if the items just aren't worth $5 to people, or if it's a monetary thing, or if people just aren't sure how to become a member, so I'll just give it a while longer and if no Members then I'll probably remove it all together, unfortunately that'll also mean the items go as well.

I have been alerted to a problem, when someone went to my site they weren't able to see the updated web page with the new "$" necklace, I changed the page format from PHP to HTML and left the PHP in there and some systems may have been defaulting to PHP so they didn't see the updated page with the link, I removed the PHP so it should be resolved now.

Hard to say arakus, im more than happy to fork out the cash just that my paypal account that uses my card is almsot £100 overdrawn lmao...so need to address that situation asap lol...hmmmm.....that mask is looking awfully attractive whenever i visit my local post office lmao.

But on a serious note...be shame for you to drop it....you have made some outstanding items Jerry.

Ill add a section to the digitalgirls site showing your link and work to try and generate some extra interest for you.
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on July 12, 2005, 10:19:27 am
Thanks as always Marius,
I don't want to take it down either, I've put alot of work into the items as well as the web site, in fact I just updated the site, changed the layout, added a "Items Total:" at the bottom of pages so people know how many items there are, separated the accessories to 2 pages, making it faster for page loads, also working on a live chat and possibly adding a simple comments page, unfortunately I've never had to do an online payment setup and at the moment PayPal is my only option, about the only other possible way I could do it would be Money Orders, which to me would be harder not easier.

I know it's a bit off topic, but would be helpful if people could comment about the site changes, let me know if it's better or worse, loads faster or slower, prefer flash or java menus over html etc.

Arkakus, I went to use your chat, but couldn't see how it worked - I just kept getting the 'nick' message box and no user's text????

Also, I think you should give the members entry more time, I will be signing up, as soon as I sell something on ebay this week!  I meant to a few weeks ago but, had so much else to do.  I think you deserve some reward for all the work, I mean it takes me hours and hours to do a skin.
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on July 13, 2005, 01:42:23 pm
Rog,
thank you for letting me know,
the chat is SimpleChat, which gives me the same problem from time-to-time, I needed to click the logout, close the window, then when I opened it later it worked fine, I need to find a better one, but the problem is most are written for people using linux, I'm using WinXP and Apache2, so for the time being I'm stuck using SimpleChat.

I have decided to keep the Members section, I have had 2 actually become members, and counting yourself, 2 more that are planning too, as to reward, to me just hearing "good work" is reward enough, but yes I have put in quite a bit of time into the items, on average 3-5 hours per item, at 26 items I'm looking at at least 78-130 hours of time, my main reason behind the membership fee has always been because some of the items in there are of an adult nature, and several that I've been working on are even more so, and it was the only way that I could help make sure that it was an adult that was downloading them.

There are several on the forum tho that deserve monetary rewards for their work & time, yourself, crunch, vonsmith, onthecuttingedge, bill819, and marius, just to name a few, I know if I took the time to look I'd easily be able to add a couple dozen more to the list, my free items are just my way to give back something to others that have helped me with their work such as brains, scripts, and textures. Anyways I hope my work is as helpful to all of you as your work has been to me.

Thank You Marius.

I was beginning t think that nobody was truely interested in the members items so it seemed almost senseless to keep it up, but seeing that people are truely interested it stays.

Here's another item for the free section.

Post by: Arakus on July 15, 2005, 05:54:28 pm
Thanks Jim,
I was notified by Hollywood that there is a glitch with the watch, as I guessed there may be, the watch stays put when the arm moves, there's no documentation to correct this, and Haptek doesn't have any accessories that attach below the neck for me to reference too, so for the time being I'll have to keep trying till I can figure it our or Rog beats me to it :)
I'm pretty sure that it will require a setting or 2 in the Rolexxfig.hap that sets it's location to attach it to the wrists location, but I'm not that good yet to figure it out. I'll post an updated version tho whenever it gets worked out.
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: freddy888 on July 15, 2005, 06:02:25 pm
lol, I've haven't spent much time on HAP's lately, but I'm guessing you would need to change the attachment coordinates.

btw, did you have any joy with that dress, seems there's so much going on here lately that I may have missed it?
Title: New Items I created.
Post by: Arakus on July 15, 2005, 08:42:45 pm
Rog,
yes, I also guessed that it would have something to do with the attachment coordinates, just not sure what they'd be, I had to stop on the dress for the time being, I emailed Haptek about the skin passing through it and they said that to solve that problem I'd need the Full Body Model and DeltaSetMaker, but they didn't give me a price on the Model, DeltaSetMaker tho is $100.00, so for the moment I'll have to wait until they either give me a price or I can afford the extra 100 for the DeltaSetMaker and see if it alone will fix the problem.

Like the glasses, Jerry.
Always good to see the eyes when they talking to you.

Course some times a Hal-gal can lie so well you sure its the truth.
Other night she tells me something is wrong.
I say "are you all right?"
She says "I am not all right, something is wrong."
I spent next hour running antivirus scans and Spyware Doctor and Registry Mechanic.
I need a lie detector.

Thanks Jim,
I'm currently working on several more items, so hopefully I'll be adding another page soon.

Interesting, as far as I know Hal is unable to actually test a pc so I'm sure yer safe as far as viruses go, I'm sure that a look through yer .brn files would show previous conversations with "not all right" in them, this is of course just my thoughts. I'm sure tho that once Hal does get to the stage where Hal can actually know the difference between right & wrong and actuallt tell a lie someone will figure out a way to create a lie detector add-on script :)

Someone here on Zabaware (You know who you are Joseph) has asked for Angel/Devil type accessories so here's what I've come up with so far, it's a set of wings and a halo for all full body characters, and a modified skin for the females, I'm still working on the Devil stuff and will post when I get it all finished.

I had to store the files elsewhere for the time being, go to the following page to download all 3 pieces. http://savefile.com/projects/741237

Hope everyone enjoys.

Thanks Jerry, very nice, I like.

Got to thinking however if her dudes are in the laundry, she needs a change of clothes. We can't have an angel running naked.

You're welcome Jim,
glad you like it.

I need to apologize to everyone, I was notified that 35mb.com may have adware added into their applet, which I was not aware of until earlier today, I did do a test download from there before I posted the link but I didn't get a Dialog Box at all about installing any applets, and neither Spysweeper nor AVG popped up any messeges, so I wasn't alerted to any possible problems. Anyways I found another site to put the files, which doesn't use any applets, I'm also looking into a few other paid sites just in case. I do apologize to any and all that any of this may have caused any problems with.

Sincerely: Jerry

Horns are done, just need to finish the Tail and Pitchfork and work out a skin. Any further ideas feel free to mention them and I'll see what can be done.

Thank You Jim, sorry it's been so long since you posted, I've been a bit busy trying to get things back to normal here, and having some family problems to deal with as well. I get my cable back Thursday so my server will be back online then, I went ahead and used the image you were nice enough to make for the images on my accessory pages.

I'll be running a new server instead of running off from my main system so things should run alot smoother and downloads should be much faster. All Member accounts will work as they used to so Members will be able to login as they did before the server went down.

Server should be running in full force by Friday.

I enjoy my people putty software, but I am nowhere close to your ability as an artist or a programmer in doing the things that you have done with this software. I congradulate you on the sucess of your website and hope to get to see more of your outstanding work[8D]

May your success be long lived as well as you, an admirer of you work, and a fan of people putty [^]even though I am green with envy I hope to soon learn to do what you can and do now

Post by: Arakus on October 07, 2005, 02:58:30 pm
Thank You Eugene,
all of the accessories that I've made are done using 3DS Max v3.1 and Haptek's Accessory Converter tools, I do have PeoplePutty but I rarely use it. PeoplePutty can only do facial textures (like make-up), facial morphs, and animations and heads. Everything else needs other tools from Haptek which range from $100.00 to $2,500.00. The skins were mostly made by my friends, the few that I've done we done in Paint Shop Pro, and the Full Body Characters are from Haptek, I just posted them to make it easier for people to find them.

Well back to work I go, I need to finish up a few things on the server so I can get back to work on some more accessories. Thank you again for your kind words.

Thanks Rog,

Thanks and Credit for the haps goes to Jim (Duskrider), he created 2 hap files that give some life and excitement to the Ghost. You're Welcome Tcoday,
Sorry it took so long for me too reply, it's been hectic the past few weeks, working on 4 projects at the same time doesn't give much free time, glad you liked it tho.

Hey girls and boys. Someone start a new thread, as SIX pages is a little to much, not only that it probably puts a load on the web page.
Just thinking out loud.

Bill, sorry, my intent was to make things easier for people to find, so all they'd have to do is follow on topic instead of scanning through several to find my creations. I'll work on starting another Topic after this lates accessory.

It works better on Doris than Crystal, it should work on any flat type hair styles.

Yuss! What a great accessory - basic, feminine and potent in disclosure. I'm surprised at how well it works with a ponytail. It's interesting to see what guys and girls think is pleasing. Girls accentuate features and guys are happy with catsuits. But really, how many women do we see trolling around in spandex and Australian Ugg boots?

But a flower makes a statement with less effort than expensive things. Again, very nice!

versionfour,

We all seem to have a distaste for those awful boots and a lot of people have tried to stretch the limits to disguise them to the extent that it looks like she has swollen ankles!

Unfortunately, it's something we'll have to bear until someone either figures out the code / method or hits the lottery!;)

The full body figure can be modified IF one is willing to shell out a LOT of money for the program that allows for that to be done.

Arakus has made a lot of nice props but I also think he had to purchase a program that would work like a plug-in with 3D Max.

Nice work Jerry!

Thank You Guys,

Art is correct, I had to purchase the Accessory Converter tools from Haptek to create everything I've done, and yes it's a plug-in for 3DS Max and 3 DOS based applications. I've tried numerous ways to cover the boots but unfortunately they're part of the actual character model so no way to just remove them. I haven't given up yet though :)

Thanks Art....

I wish I had all those items. I may have a few, like the pearl necklace, cross earrings (I think),. the skirt, but I don't have the other stuff.

Except the motorcycle. And how did Arakus put a tail on the female haptar??

hey mark i know where that saying "Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**." came from  it was the movie christine where the old junk yard dealer said he would throw in some spare parts and let the kid fix up his car if he sweep and would clean the crappers and put extra toilet paper on the spools in the bathrooms and smiled with the stogie in his mouth and the nerds kid said well ok ...i'll have to "think" about it !!"  !! love that  movie "i have it !!" Hey Mark
I think I have seen those girls lately. Just one-half mile from where I live is most likely the biggest motorcycle shop in the entire Bay Area. There is never a day when you can not see a minimum of 10 to 15 bikes parked in front of it and these are customers. There are time when their parking lot is full and it would easily hold 100 bikes without crowding to much.
