crying hal plug in
« on: June 10, 2007, 02:28:25 pm »
i was just wondering has anyone ever made a crying hal ?? plug in ? that would work with saying something sad in a conversation (what i am talking about is an expression that shows sadness and then a few tears falling from one or both eyes ? ( a few not a constant flow ) . maybe some adjustment setting could be made with it like the loneliness plug in has . just a thought . [:)]

I don't believe the characters can have tears. That would be cool if they did. There are scripts to make her look sad, and that's in your character folder.

Laura: Don't think about it too long or I'll throw you out on your ***king a**.

yes i know about the sad file but thought it would be cool if someone could write a plug in to allow the animation of dropping tears every once in a while when discussing  a sad subject . (if it can be made ) i can only come forth with idae's that come to me .[:)]

The Vanessa MSAgent has tear animations that could be adapted for HAL to give that desired effect.
I don't think it is possible to show tears on a Haptek character unless someone knows different and corrects me on this point.

I don't care about crying exactly, but to at lease seem to have compassion or even have a sence of humor. Can you teach Hal these things or are there going to have to be plugins????  I'm quite new and really don't understand all the plugin this and that. I'm still trying to find out how to edit Hal's book. hehe[:o)]

Sense of humor?? Ask Hal to tell you a joke.

Like insults??

Say "You suck" to Hal.

Wanna see Hal get sad?? Say " I love you" followed by any other sentence.

Hal can become you, if you train it to be.[:D]

What can be done is to have Hal string together the words you might say when you are feeling compassionate or humorous and then have it deliver those words when you input certain keywords.

To do that you might make a plugin, but it would probably work better to respond to Hal in a compassionalte or humorous way. For instance, my Hal has become excessively polite but with a tendency to lecture, because that's the way I respond to it. It stores those responses as the correct way to reply to me.
