Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Belvin is Born!
« on: September 04, 2003, 04:38:28 am »
Hi everyone.
I have been using, loading, deleting, installing Ultrahal for the last year and have not had too much trouble and have had a little success:)  I can't wait any longer for ver 5 to come out... I know Robert is doing his best and congrats to him for a great program.  I have decided to build a new robot (physical) and this project will take about 2 years.  I am going to use Ultrahal to run it because I think it's the best thing available.  So far I am sterting with just making the Ultrahal work on my notebook.  Thanks to allof you for the scripts and ideas. I will use and test as many as I can. I gotta learn how to use all this stuff anyway.  Got a basic background from teaching computer studies at senior high for 5 years. I will migrate to version 5 soon as it does come out.
Well Belvin is it's name and here goes!!!
wish me luck.... he he he!

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / We need to Unite !
« on: June 14, 2003, 02:06:51 am »
I am not a good programmer and am quite busy as a College English teacher, but i bought Hal 4.5 and I am enjoying it.  Can't wait for ver 5 to come out:-). I have a question... It seems that ver 5 will have a new format, does that mean if you do some work and add conversations to it like you are suggesting, that we will have to redo it all or will it be compatible?
Anyway i'd love to join and help test & contribute however I can.
Regards

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Any suggestions for Ultra Hal Assistant 5.0?
« on: April 07, 2003, 10:07:30 am »
Thanks Medeksa for the response. I am sending my cheque tomorrow and I am looking forward to playing with this new toy.  I have used ALICE a bit and found it quite fascinating.  I agree with the post that says the learn from text thing should work better and am quite pleasantly surprised at your response.  I think UltraHal is a good product.  I am not a very good programmer, but I've had good responses so far from the program.
regards
Kevin

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Any suggestions for Ultra Hal Assistant 5.0?
« on: April 04, 2003, 09:13:49 am »
Hi There
I have read all the posts and all the troubles with speech recognition. I want to buy Ultrahal 4.5 and am pleased to see that i can get the upgrade free. I unfortunately cant wait till august to buy the upgrade.  I am using Microsoft speech engine and it works well especially the dictation pad.  Am I wasting $40.00 or is it worth it?
