Just purchased another Hal 6.2 and it is working fine. Now I can have my 2 computers talking to one another!I want to see if my desktop can teach my robot anything over time.... he he, fun!

Yes I remember a few years back using aim or IRC(I think)to get two hal programs to converse, but then AIM did something to stop it from working if I remember correctly.  Maybe Jerry remembers it?

Hi All,
I want to buy 2 licences/copies of ultrahal and load Hal on my desktop pc and on my notebook(which is on my robot)and have them chat to one another. They are both connected to the internet through a wireless connection.  Is it possible to do this, and how?
I think I got this working in the past, but I can't remember how to do it.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Activation with windows 7

Hi There,
Iv's just clean installed WIndows 7 on my new computer which had XP on it, and hal 6.2 will not activate.  
I click on "I have already purchased Ultra Hal assistant 6.0 and wish to activate this product" and then get the error message "The activation code you requested does not match this machine..." I know I've probably activated it too many times:)

hi firegoggles,
I'm i the same boat:)  I'm going to download the new version today and get it running. I did have an aimbot running at one time and it used to have conversations with Jerry's(onthecuttingedge) computer online, but there was some problem with the aim bots for a while and it stopped working.  Havent tried again , but I'd like to start it up again. I will probably spend some time working on it in the dec vacations.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Trial Version - need help

OK, I downloaded the trail version and it's on my desktop with windows xp.
Hal works ok till i go to menu/general/speech options and do something then when i finish changing or training the speech engine hal behaves rather badly- can't switch mic on or off, I can type woreds but when i press enter i just get a "ding" noise and nothing happens.  Gotta restart my computer to get hal working again.  I loaded the enhanced brain and the microphon eon/off plugin.
maybe i did something wrong hehehe.

Gonna try this.  I just downloaded the trial version and am waiting for Robert to email me with details of how I can get that sweet discount on the new version he he he!
Hoping to have my er1 up and running in the next few months again.

Hi all,
been away for a while about 2 years he he .  
I got a question and I need an answer.
Are there any programs out there that can write a program by just telling the program what you want it to write?

My 5c worth.  Sentient if it wants to be anything close to human it gotta at least be able to create something.
2nd 5c.  It gotta reproduce or replicate itself.  

ya' all got 10c worth outta me an thats really pushin brain limits he he he!!!

I was serious about the part of a program making a program though and I need an answer if possible.  
This will also help Jerry to not get artritic fingers from all the typing.
