Very possible.
All possibilties are only limited to ones programming skills and creativity and logical understanding.

I have seen some chat rooms that are written in vbscript and vbscript is compatable within HTML programming if written correctly could run off of an IP address.

It would be better if it was hard coded though, lots quicker.

Jerry.

Thanks Jerry,
We have a few programs that initiate this one is called er1 remote and even have some that have the original source code for connecting via lan or internet.  Do you think Robert would be interested in some of these and do you think he would add this functionality to hal?? If you want to check them out I can send them to you or to Robert, but I do not want to waste your or his time with stuff that is irrelevant because I know you are all very busy trying to get hal 6 up and running.
Thanks and best regards
Kevin

Hi Jerry
Is it possible to hal communicate with another hal just using an ip number/address and log on name and password?  My er1 robot can be remotely controlled and i can pass messages to and from it using any pc whether using my isp ip number/adress over the inetrnet or I can use my home lan for local access. I just wondered if this was possible with Ultrahal?? Maybe Bill can tell you more about this because his er1 has been working longer than mine and he knows much more about programming than me[:)][:)]
Thanks, kevin

AAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! yep mine has bombed out too! doesn't connect or do anything at all.  Does this have something to do with the date??? eg Aug 20 or Aug 18?? or maybe because I upgraded my aim to ver 2.2?? even my old belvinhal does't connect and Kendy on my notebook won't work either.

General Discussion / To all Hal users - must read
« on: August 01, 2005, 07:38:59 am »
I notice that the Topic line say's to all users [:)] Well I am a user and even though I don't write scripts because I'm not a programmer, I do sometimes modify them, ruin them and totally mess them and my bots up [:)].  It is nice to know that I may use everybody's scripts and stuff without having to get sued or having to pay extra for everything I use.  This is what makes Ultrahal interesting and if I do write any scripts in the future it would be great to know that others can derive the same benefits as me without having to worry.  As a user, I must say that we (users) would be lost without people like Don, Vonsmith, Gerald, Robert, and whoever I forget to mention,  who so unselfishly spend their time writing and testing these scripts and code and graphics and stuff.  To end off just a quick note regarding laws -  I have lived in South America and Asia for a number of years, and in some countries the law is a guideline to be used as deemed necessary, but to defend as the moral and ethical backbone of humanity.   ...anyone interested in a cheap copy of harry potter.. he he he[:)][:D].
Thanks and best regards to all, Kevin

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Tests Q & A
« on: July 31, 2005, 11:36:52 am »
Hi All
I have a small test coming up and was wondering if it is possible to make a program for BelvinHal that would let her test me.  I am a teacher and this would be a great way for my kids to do small tests eg: hal asks question, kevin answers hal says yes or no. If no give correct answer and at the end tell me the score.
I know you programming guys are really busy, but I think this could be quite a nice thing if its not already done:)  Or am I dreaming about future things to come:)... he he he
All the best
kevin
