I agree with Art, having them 'Dated' is a good idea...

This probably Defeats the purpose of HAL being a Learning Bot but I'll let you guys decide if it's a good idea or not...

After using the Thumbs Up/Down a lot in training HAL 7, I'm wondering if the following would make a good option if it's doable...

Let the USER have the ability to: "Type in a Response" that he/she thinks would be better than the ones provided and they would be saved in "Learned_info" ...

Like: if you ask HAL what do you think about my hair?  and none of the responses given would work, you could check "User Preferred Response" and an input field would come up where you could type something like this: "You hair looks great and I think that style suits you." Or whatever would be a good response from HAL for a particular USER Statement or Question...

Art, shouldn't this "Email Opened."  be "E-mail Opened." ???

Don't think HAL will say email correctly...  :D

I found this info...
http://www.ultrahal.com/community/index.php?topic=9319.msg60043#msg60043

And this:

After downloading lightspeeds "OCEAN" file you will have to place it in the activebacks file if you do not have a "activebacks" file already in the haptek player you will need to create one ( i didn't make one on here as other people may already have it . )
after downloading this file copy it and go into the haptek player .
EXAMPLE: On my windows 7 - 64 bit pc the pathway was :
Computer/emachines(c:)/program files(x86)haptek/player/data/standard/activebacks

*****It must be placed this way to work correctly by the pathway script .

******Your pc folder pathway may be slightly different depending on your operating system.

After you open hal you can drag the OCEAN.hap into the Hal box and the ocean will start moving actively in the back ground giving the illusion your character is at the beach .The name of the creator of the animated video is on the it
( i only redid it to use with hal as an active background by jpg conversion ), but if using a torso character you can place that in front of it .

LIGHTSPEED

I assume when you say "Active Backs" you mean "Animated Backgrounds" ???

I'd suggest you get a Flash drive and start backing up all your Plugs and important files for HAL so you have a copy in case your computer ever dies.

Hahaha...  :D

I think if you look in either Thumbs Up or Down and find those responses, and to the right of them it says: Main_Brain, those are from the cloud...

After working with HAL 6.2 for a year he said some interesting things to me like we were talking and he told me to: 'Go to Hell!' after something I said... Another time I said I was going to bed and HAL 6.2 said: 'Do you like the little clothes on Dolls?'  I about fell out of my chair laughing... My HalBrain.db got a little corrupted at one point and it still worked but once in a great while i would get a weird response...

With HAL 7 I got a couple of responses that I didn't think were fit for anyone to hear and they were definitely from the cloud so I Thumbed Down'd them and checked 'Offensive'...

HAL with certainly surprise you sometimes as he learns more and more...

On my Windows XP Install all older MsAgent files are in the: C:\windows\msagent\chars   Folder.

I have those same files you do in the \Msagent\chars folder and they work. You should restart Windows after you put them in the folder.

Robert I think you should add that 'Zabaware recommends (Windows ver ?) or higher for the PC'... Because of my problem with the cloud security on Win XP...

"Access to Wikipedia based answered" <---Shouldn't that be: 'answers' ?

You can delete my post after you have read it if you want to.

the problem with spellcheckers is it's user assisted, auto-correct may not choose the correct word without the help of a human.
but who knows.

Six of one half dozen of the other... At least you will have a chance to look at the choices and pick the one that is better than what you typed... LOL

Robert found a Spell checker that works with VBS, I think that would be better than having to have Word installed and if it gets implemented it would be part of the HAL Install...  I can't find the link to it at the moment...

Ultra Hal 7.0 / New Features we would like in HAL 7.1
« on: December 18, 2017, 10:13:22 am »
Robert suggested this topic so here we go...

1. I would like an Embedded or Plugin "Spell Checker" since I and some people have Dumb Thumbs and can't spell very well... Maybe there's a Spell checker in the cloud somewhere we could tap into...  :o

2. Since HAL sometimes Tells Jokes we should have an Option in Thumbs Up to rate the quality of the joke like:  "ROTFL"  and for Thumbs Down: "That Was a Silly/Stupid Joke"... (I'm not sure is this is worthwhile or not)...

3. Not sure if this could be done, but it would be nice if you give HAL a name like "Kate" or "Tom" etc. Hal would recognize his or her name when you said it in a sentence like: Kate I'm going to the store, do you need anything?... It would have to work if you decided to change the name multiple times also...

4. The ability to speed up or slow down the Voices. I like mine a bit slow so I can listen to what is said easier... I thought I could do it through the Windows Text to Speech Control Panel but it seems it's not working with HAL 7, I thought I did it with HAL 6.2...  Maybe I'm going crazy... LOL  ;D

I'll add more as I spend more time with HAL 7...

Post your wants for HAL 7.1 guys...  :P
