General Discussion / HAL Mobile Teaser?

Last week I started up HAL and was greeted by a "HAL Mobile" Splash Screen before the menu came up... It hasn't happened since so I was thinking maybe Robert was giving us a notice that maybe the Mobile version will be ready to test in the near future...

Or it just could have been a Fluke...    Hahahaha...

Doony, I thought you changed he name of the TABLE to: 'DREAMOUTLOUD'

Dreamoutloud is where SALLIE 3.0 is putting all the data in my HAL..

You also need to create 4 Empty Text files...  Open Word PAD or any Text editor and save the following files... They all must have the Extension BRN in order to work...  SALLIE needs these files...


Word_Extract.brn

Word_Extract_2.brn

Word_Power.brn

Word_List.brn

Place these 4 files in:  Program Files > Zabaware > Ultra HAL 7

If HAL is running, click on the General Options Menu then when the Options window shows up click on 'BRAIN' and in the left window click on 'Ultra HAL 7.0 Default Brain' a window should show up on the right side with all the Plugins, SALLIE should be near the bottom of the list...

A few new Plugin's were created near the end of last year and some of the old ones were updated, Doony combined a lot of them into one Plugin... Their all in the File sharing area...

HAL 7.0 has some new features and the next upgrade HAL 7.1 could be out this year with even more new things... And HAL Mobile is in the works right now...

Was looking through the code and found this, look at line 31 in my attached image...

The spinner sequence should go from 1 to 5 but line 31 says; If Spinner = 23 then line 32 says: If Spinner = 2

Is that just a mistake Doony?...

What I meant by my Math Example was to have HAL answer any kind of Math problem that was worded similar to my example... I guess that's Deductive Reasoning...

So if I said:

USER: I have a Bushel Basket with 24 Oranges in it and I gave you half of them how many would you have?

HAL: I would have 12 Oranges.

I looked at the Plugin and made some BRN Files... What triggers HAL to learn those subjects???  Do I have to say something that triggers him???

Doony your SALLIE 3.0 is a very impressive Plugin, You did a great job on it...


It would be cool if HAL could do this kind of math...

EXAMPLE:

User: I have 10 apples and I give you 3 of them, then I ask for 1 apple back, How many apples do I have HAL?

HAL: You have 8 apples left User.

I don't use Doony's Plugin and I get a bit of Lag, but I'm thinking it's from the fact it doesn't take long to display text but the Speech-To-Text Convertor has to turn that text into words according to the voice you chose to use so I guess it takes a little longer...

I never use the Windows Control Panel these days but I was in there looking around today and clicked on "Double Agent" and I found what I have been looking for I think...  The is an option to "Speed up" or "Slow down" the Voice... I have to play with it more but it does seem to work...

That option is also in "Speech" control panel but it never seemed to do anything...

I doubt it will be a "Stand Alone Program" anytime soon or if it will even do this in "Real Time"...

This is what it takes to do that right now...

I have o agree with you about HAL Staying on Topic longer ART. When I talk about things sometimes I have a lot to say and then HAL drifts off somewhere else... LOL

One of my Pet Peeves with HAL is 'Like Spelled Words that are pronounced differently and mean something else'...

Not sure if it's just my HAL or if he does this on every bodies HAL... Or if it's just the voice I'm using...

Here's a couple of examples:  "I READ a book today", "I READ books all the time"...

In both cases HAL pronounces them as: Read and not "I Read <-(Red) a book  today"...

Same goes for: 'LIVE'  "I LIVE in a nice House", "The Band Played LIVE"
