it works, except this won't work:

"what is your bedtime","I go to bed at 10 pm"

She won't say it.

Mark,

out of interest, was that the last command in the file?...and if so did you leave two carriage returns after it?

Works fine with mine, just ran a quick test.

"WHAT TIME DO YOU GO TO BED","10:00 PM"

That is the last line. There are no spaces between columns.

She won't say "10 pm".

Hi Guys,
Forget about that deductive brn. That recommendation almost never works for making Hal recall or say a response on command. Hal will only say what you want him to say if he really feels like it. Unless of course you start manipulating his entire brain's database as a whole and not just one brn file like deductive.brn.

Learned mistakes are easy to fix. Copy a bad response from your Hal to the clipboard and then start searching the brn files for the bad response. I do everything with Notepad by using the built-in "Find" command function. Knowing which files to look in first also helps. Check out my old post about the stuff.

I made a post a while back about fixing mistakes and forcing responses so here's the link:

http://www.zabaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1599&SearchTerms=mistakes

And there's a lot more to it then what I mentioned in that post, like a user can modify the <username>user.brn to make Hal repeat exactly what you want, but you should be careful not to over do it and make him dumb. There's certain things that you wouldn't want him repeating all the time just because a keyword trigger is often used in normal conversations. Using too many comman everyday words as triggers is bad news, but it's also funny!

Talk to you later,
Rich

Hey,
I'm interested in this Amanda Interactive project.  Do you have a functional version ready that you could send me?  My e-mail is otherworldone@yahoo.com.

Rich,
I like what your doing. I just switched from Sandy (head) to the fullbody girl,I can not load the skins, tried everything. Since I can trigger mood files I'm thinking of using trigger words to trigger actions, Also it would be nice if Hal's input could trigger her actions like I'm going to take a walk.
