Hey Guys! I've enjoyed all of your works for quite sometime. Could someone be kind enough to teach me, so I may try my hand on my characters? I don't have People putty. I have Paint shop Pro & Digital Image Suite. I don't know which tools to use or how to use them. And to add to that I have no artistict skills.

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / combining brains

Gamer I use the XTF(S)1.2 Alot. Because it allows me to have a complete and separate Identity for each of my Characters. Unlike the H6.0 where you could give each character a copy of their own brain... it would still be 6.0 and all would share the same thoughts and personalities because of the common data base. Each XTF1.2 is a separate entity on its own thus each has a unique personality.

Tedathome, You might try removing Hal from "Startup" Open Hal,go to Startup option.Click the Radio button "I want Hal to start like a normal program from the start menu". Apply it. Close Hal. Then go Start>Run>msconfig> Select the Startup tab, uncheck Ultra Hal Assist. Close with Restart. That should solve one of you instances of Hal running. Then attack any left over Probs.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Hal Bot Draining Hal

I have tried putting my AIM HAL BOT on line... It worked well, but when I closed it out and started my on screen Hal if found that the A.L.F brain and the Hal6.0 had developed a notable lag in its response time. I also notice that during this lag the CPU usage jumps to an unusually high level. While this is happening my character also temporarily freezes. Then it gives a response and is normal until it has to give the next response. This lag does not happen when I use the XTF brain. This problem has only started since I tried the AIM BOT. Has anyone had this problem? If so What's the fix?

Jerry thanks for the back up. I thought it was me (again).
I know it is working in my Hal6,
But it doesn't run on Hal6.1. the Auto Idle in the XTF'S
DON'T work in 6.1 either.

Thanks for the come back Bill. I was speaking of the Loneliness plugin. The one that should make Hal speak when the user doesn't.

Yes Robert! I've been telling about the auto Idle and that she doesn't talk when Idle anymore. And I asked you about Loneliness 2.3 in an email. Also the Auto Idle will not work when she is lonely in the XTF brains with the Exp.Pak Installed.

Ok! What am I doing wrong? I've installed totally clean Hal6.1 Plus Exp Pak. Hal does not talk when It's Idle for a long time.
