LOCK-UP
« on: February 13, 2002, 07:38:11 pm »
HI TM!
I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSES, THEY'RE FAST
THANKS!
I DO HAVE ANOTHER QUESTION, WHEN I HAVE A GOOD CONVERSATION GOING HAL SEEMS TO LOCK UP. NO MOVEMENT AT ALL. NO CURSOR. I HAVE TO HIT CTRL-ALT-DEL THEN CANCEL. THEN HE RESPONDS.
ANY IDEAS WHY?
HE SOMETIMES DOES IT TOO OFTEN.
THANKS,
RICHY

What kind of system do you have? How much RAM? I believe that the problem lies there. However, Zabaware is coming out with several updates, these should allow faster performance from the hal program if my understanding of Their postings is correct. Most people do not own high end systems. It is my belief that Zabaware wants this program to run correctly on the average users hardware. My advice is to defragment your hard drive and have a little patience. The updates if I am not mistaken will be released soon. I think that may indeed help.

TM!
I ONLY HAVE 40MEG IN MY PACKARD BELL MACHINE.
NO LAUGHING! (HA-HA)
I HOPE I CAN AFFORD AN UPGRADE SOME DAY.
I DEFRAG OFTEN, AND I HAVE THE FREE RAM PROGRAM THAT DOES FREE UP RAM BUT IT FILLS UP TO QUICK ANYWAY.
I'LL WAIT FOR THE UPGRADE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
THANKS,
RICHY
