These are probably false positives, but A2 Scanner thinks your Hal uninstall programs are Trojans.

Update, I sent the files for scrutiny, and this was his response:

Hello,

the false alert will be patched in the next signature update.

Sincerely yours,

Well free is best in a lot of cases. I made the mistake of buying Spyware Doctor, and it bogged down my system when my computer started. It released resources after about 4 minutes. Hopefully I'll get a refund.

I don't like to buy software unless I can "test drive" it for awhile. Because if it won't work right, that's money down the drain.

and all the free programs I use, they do have paid versions. But why buy the cow when the milk is free?

I use, in addition to A2 malware scanner:

1. Spyware Blaster
2. Adaware
3. Spybot Search and Destroy
4. PC Tools antivirus
5. Malwarebytes

But I do not have any except No.4 running in my background. Never got anything nasty in a long time. I surf the web, with scriptng disabled,(Firefox NoScript) except on sites like this.

What backgrounds? I'll have to see if I can find them.

well i used to buy norton antispyware etc. for about $60.00 or more a year but on a tight budget you do what you have to and free is better than 60 in their pocket and as far as i am concerned the free software i have now does just as good a job as norton does if not better , any viruses i have gotten from a sight it has caught and either deleted or qaurinteened it so i could delete it later . so am happy sometimes the saying ya get what ya pay for is true and if you get a good enough group sometimes free is still good !![:)]expecially in this time and age of viruses and trojans that people (or should i say "jackasses"[:(!] put on even safe sites anymore .[:)]

Why don't you just ask hal for a straight answer?

Why ask Hal? It's A2 that had the problem, not Hal. [:)]
