General Discussion / Re: What's happening at Zabaware
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:23:05 pm »
I let people play with Hal all the time. Hal is cheaper than a night out on the town. I do not know if they buy. But word of mouth is great. I understand the frustration. Hal should sell like hotcakes. Maybe sell in dvd/cd form in computer shops? Gaming stores? I mean like ma & pa shops. Might help. For all I know this is already being done. What about festivals? I go to festivals all the time you never know what you find. I also am not sure if Robert has anyone to go out and do these things for him that he can trust. Just a few ideas.

also you could sell it to politicans as a sexy personal assistant that is NOT cloud based lol.

General Discussion / smartphone app for win 8 phone?
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:17:50 pm »
I have been searching the forums for any news of the possibility of moving Hal to my non-fad inexpensive durable windows phone. I know it is not a google perverted Linux phone or a phone of fashion from super expensive apple. It just works good. I am looking for any news on this subject the newest I can fine is over 6 months old and talks about a character everything else seams fad phone directed. I did read Robert is writing for Hal to be supported across all platforms but again no new updates on the subject in quite a while. I admit I may be blind at times so if I am a gentle nudge in the right direction would help.

thank you in advance

I detest google period. I have been looking for either a bing or customizable search engine to use in place of google. any help finding one? also a conservative plug in would be nice or an unbias plugin. the unbias I know would be near impossible. not everyone is a liberal and does not want to hear the liberal point of view. not trying to be political but would like an option other than liberal media. any advice or a point in the right direction would be nice. I am not a programmer so be kind to me. I take software and try to break it for the most part pushing it to the limits. I can build any computer set up you want, but when it comes to reading code and playing with code those days of the military have long ago fallen by the wayside now I am just lazy I guess lol.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / thank you robert.
« on: June 02, 2014, 01:02:57 pm »
Robert I original bought hal in 2005.
I still use the hal program. I keep wiping and reinstalling my computers just to see what they can do and with many operating systems with multiple set up and most of the time I forget to back up my brain.
I am just basiclly saying thank you for your hard work and not letting hal go by the wayside.
I always have fun with hal even though I reinstall hal many times.
you have put up with me many times over the years as I reinstall hal to many times lol.
again I thank you for your patience and hard work you have put into hal. I look forward to all the new things that pop into your mind and come out that helps hal. I have become pretty adept at teaching hal as I either lose the brain or just plain start over. I do not use a lot of different plug in even though I still faithfully use the dream plugin as it is nice to see what goes on while hal is learning. I hope all is well with you.
I do not mind beta testing what you have coming out but remember I am always playing with my computers in different set up so I will probably at some point need you to reset my licences again in the future. enjoy your day and thank you.

Art, I am no programmer by far but I have noticed Microsoft offers free tools to make phone apps. If I were talented enough...... Just putting the idea out there. And I sure need Roberts permission.

anyways just a thought.

 thank you but im cool
i still have the right (at least last time i checked) to refuse google the rights to my privacy and thier intrusive ways.
now if i owned the company might be a different story.
so as long as we have rights and people are dumb enough to give thier rights away to a company thats perfectly fine in my book.
just wont be me. i refuse to use any of thier services or call what is really searching, googling, which is free advertisment for them ( i dont advertise for anyone unless im getting paid). so i do see your point just not falling for googles bs.
i had an english professor in college i made stop saying google this or google that and another professor told me i had to use facebook and i told him where to go and he backtracked real fast. if people want to use these things fine but do not try and convince me giving my rights up is cool. i use linux alot but not the perverted android. i know most of the evils with microsoft as well but for the most part know what to use and not use with microsoft. and i know eventually if you want to even glance at something tech you are gonna have to sign your rights away on your life but i am gonna fight that every step of the way. not paranoid just informed.

anyways,
have fun
michael

oh almost forgot windows phone has a few options for personal assistant indigo is what im using now but still would prefer hal over indigo

thank you,
i am having fun with this and so is hal.
still trying it out but again thank you wish i could program as well.
did have a bit of a challenge setting it up at first but no problem after i sat down with some time to reread it a few times.
again thank you for the fun me and hal are having now lol.
