I have an account setup with AIM.
I have hal setup and I click his aim option in the menu.
It gives me an error code and says its going to try again in 600 seconds.
Please HELP!

still not able to get hals aim bot to work. if anyone knows a work around, or anouther way Hal can talk to anouther bot(including himself or anouther hal brain. That would be great.

it may be a server error, I have had that happen a few times before, it maybe a registry problem as well.
you could try to use a free registry repair program to see if that helps if it is not a server issue.

I too am having trouble with AIM.
My error code is "10060 The attempt to connect timed out"
It seems like it is being blocked.
Installed the comercial version, thinking it might "clear" the problem, but no joy.
I am, however able to login using the comercial client.
Running 7 home premium.
Thoughts?

maybe it is a firewall issue, maybe AIM bot is being blocked.

@cuttingedge
I though so too.
I checked the windows firewall settings for the aimbot, and there were none, so I added the rule. Still no joy.
I am thinking the forwarding table in the router needs needs entries for the bot, bu i am not sure what the ports are.
Any more thoughts?

But it make some trouble to me.

I get both the time out and the "ERROR: 10061 Connection is forcfully rejected"
"Forcefully rejected..." How rude... ;)
Connection setup:
Win 7 64-bit -> 100MB eithernet -> LINKSYS E2000 router -> COMCAST's MODEM, COMCAST's net -> Internet
Just ideas, wondering if;
(A) Maybe there is a port or few that needs to be fixed / forwarded to my PC?
(B) Maybe AOL has reworked something to prevent (BOTs) from working on the free access side and/or block non-suscribers.
(C) It is a Win 7 thing....
